Fans of\u00a0Frostpunk<\/strong><\/em>, the frigid city management survival game, have been excitedly awaiting the arrival of the game’s final DLC ever since 11-Bit Studios announced On the Edge<\/a> as a content sequel to the base game. Now, PC players can get\u00a0On the Edge<\/em>\u00a0via\u00a0Humble Store, GOG.com, and Steam.<\/p>\n

On the Edge<\/em> is\u00a0the third\u00a0expansion for Frostpunk<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>and the final installment in the Season Pass. Frostpunk<\/em>\u00a0comes from the developers of This War of Mine<\/em><\/a>, and both games share a theme of surviving against the odds in a harsh environment. This DLC has players leave the city from the base game and strike out on their own to form a new Outpost\u00a0in the freezing wilderness.<\/p>\n

According to some, Frostpunk<\/em> is a pretty approachable management sim<\/a>, although it can be challenging for players who’re unable to focus on the game’s multiple tasks and manage city resources in a subzero environment.\u00a0On the Edge<\/em> adds an extra layer of difficulty for players as they diplomatically trade and interact with other communities, explore deeper into the Frostland, and grapple with new mechanics. Notably, the player won’t have control over the Book of Laws, and is subject to New London’s decrees.<\/p>\n
