The commercial made sure to emphasize how one of the best tools the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/ps5\/\">PlayStation 5<\/a> will use to pull this off is the new DualSense controller.<\/p>\n<p>Now, the PlayStation blog has published a new post that follows up on the PS5 ad and focuses on the importance of the console&#8217;s new controller. Specifically, the post catalogs statements from multiple <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/playstation-state-of-play-august-2020-reveals\/\">PlayStation 5 video game developers<\/a> describing how they will better use the DualSense controller&#8217;s capabilities to immerse players in their upcoming titles.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/playstation-5-live-action-ad-leak\/\">PlayStation 5 Has Live-Action Ad Leaked<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Several notable developers took part in the blog post, including Insomniac Games and Guerilla Games. Here&#8217;s the full list of participants and what games they covered:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Insomniac Games (<em>Spider-Man: Miles Mo<\/em>rales, <em>Ratchet and Clank<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>Guerilla Games (<em>Horizon Forbidden West<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>Arkane Studios (<em>Deathloop<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>Tango Gameworks (<em>Ghostwire: Tokyo<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>SIE Japan Studio (<em>Demon&#8217;s Souls<\/em>, <em>Astro&#8217;s Playroom<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/godfall-ps5-dualsense-controller-features\/\">Counterplay Games (<em>Godfall<\/em>)<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Sumo Digital (<em>Sackboy<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>Polyphony Digital (<em>Gran Turismo 7<\/em>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>While the descriptions featured in the post were relatively brief,\u00a0the discussions covered a variety of games\u00a0Essentially, the studios discussed how they&#8217;ll use the DualSense controller&#8217;s two primary features.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Cj6AUuRs1A4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>For those unaware, Sony revealed some of the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/playstation-5-controller-dualsense-image-photo\/\">DualSense controller&#8217;s features<\/a> back in April \u2014 two months before the actual reveal of the PlayStation 5. While there are apparently numerous improvements on the controller, Sony has put a lot of focus on\u00a0the adaptive triggers and haptic feedback functions. The adaptive triggers will generate tension when pressed in order to bring realism to weapons and activities. At the same time, the haptic feedback will cause sensations more appropriate than just standard vibrations for any given situation.<\/p>\n<p>If the DualSense has any other major immersive features, they haven&#8217;t been revealed yet \u2014 though adaptive triggers and haptic feedback cover a wide range of elements. <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/sony-ps5-dualsense-controller-back-buttons-haptic-feedback\/\">PlayStation 5 controller patents<\/a> hint that Sony has other features in mind for the controller, but patents don&#8217;t always end up part of the final product.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless, the PlayStation 5 itself will assist with the player&#8217;s immersion. One such feature brought up in the new ad was the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/ps5-dramatic-audio-upgrade\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PlayStation 5&#8217;s 3D audio<\/a>, which is essentially upgraded surround sound. Players will be able to hear gaming noises from every direction through it.
