The first, a rerun of the\u00a0previous\u00a0event asking players to choose between Team Chicken and Team Egg to solve that classic conundrum of &#8220;which came first,&#8221; begins today at 3:00 p.m. PT and lasts for 48 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Splatfests have been a major part of both <em>Splatoon<\/em> games on the Wii U and Switch, offering players opposing teams to rally behind, and changing the overall aesthetics of Inkopolis to reflect each events&#8217; proceedings. The first Chicken vs. Egg Splatfest in <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/splatoon-2\/\"><em>Splatoon 2<\/em><\/a> took place in March 2018, with Team Egg\u00a0attracting the most players but Team Chicken clutching more solo and team victories to ultimately win the contest.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ninjala-splatoon-crossover\/\">GungHo CEO Interested in Ninjala Splatoon Crossover<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Nintendo stopped supporting timed events in <em>Splatoon 2<\/em> for about a year before bringing them\u00a0back in May with\u00a0a &#8220;bonus one-off&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/splatoon-2-ketchup-beat-mayo-splatfest\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">revival of\u00a0the contentious Ketchup vs. Mayo Splatfest<\/a>.
