Destiny 2<\/em><\/strong> is soon to evolve in big ways as Beyond Light<\/em> approaches closer and closer<\/a>, and one of the ways that this release will shake up the game is the availability of exotic quests. There’s a whole host of them to do, but here are the\u00a0best ones that players shouldn’t miss out on.<\/p>\n

Fans have been told that as destinations exit Destiny 2<\/em><\/a>, so will all the content related to them. This includes exotic quests and Bungie gave a definitive list of the ones that will be leaving the game inside its latest TWAB<\/em>. All of the guns listed below will still be obtainable at a future date, but their quests will be unavailable.<\/p>\n

This is one of the most iconic and powerful hand cannons Destiny 2<\/em>, thanks to its association with Cayde-6. The Ace of Spades’ quest<\/a> takes players on a journey across the solar system, finding caches hidden by the late Hunter Vanguard Cayde-6, and it culminates in a story-heavy mission in Titan’ underbelly that is one of the most memorable adventures fans of the series can have.<\/p>\n

Despite being introduced in Forsaken<\/em>, the quest utilizes\u00a0many older zones that will soon be overrun by the Darkness. This quest can give players\u00a0another reason to explore the classic zones one last time, perhaps while they’re already doing the Exodus: Preparation questline<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A highly specialized hand cannon, The Last Word allows players to fan their revolver<\/a> like a true space-cowboy. The last step of its quest will require players to complete a mission on the Tangled Shore, but what’s special about it is that this is perhaps the only single-player mission that is centered around reaction time.<\/p>\n

Before anyone gets intimidated, it isn’t that punishing. The encounters are actually quite fun and unique, as the player tries to best a Hive gunsmith\/gunslinger<\/a> in a series of wild-west themed shootouts. This makes the player feel like they really earned the right to wield The Last Word.<\/p>\n

It is worth mentioning from the start that this gun has an involved questline. It isn’t grindy in the sense that players are asked to secure heaps of kills, but it does have\u00a0many steps that\u00a0demand the completion of certain unique activities, from dungeons to specialized strikes.<\/p>\n

However, the weapon reward is worth the trouble. Izanagi’s Burden is a one-of-a-kind and powerful sniper<\/a> that can be handy in many high level scenarios, which will continue to\u00a0find uses for itself due to how big of a damage burst it can deal.<\/p>\n

Going from burst to chip damage, the hand cannon Thorn is the original damage-over-time weapon<\/a>. It is still very good in Crucible and has the interesting utility of being able to eat away at elemental shield in PvE, despite being a kinetic weapon.<\/p>\n

Thorn’s quest offers players options<\/a>, giving them multiple objectives that they can choose from. They all lead to the same conclusion, but it is a novel quest in that regard. In the end, players will visit a long forgotten character who will show the way to the last mission of this quest.<\/p>\n

Speaking of unique hand cannons and Thorn, players who want Lumina<\/a> will be sent out to uncover the infamous original Thorn hand cannon from the game’s lore, cleanse it, and obtain the first true support\/healing gun of the franchise. With Lumina, players can shoot at allies to heal and buff them.<\/p>\n

As a bonus, any player who tackles this quest will also get to keep\u00a0Rose<\/a>,\u00a0a fabled weapon from the lore that\u00a0is used to complete objectives throughout the quest. Rose, despite lacking flashy perks, is a decent gun in the Crucible and cannot be obtained any other way. It is a true collector’s item as even\u00a0when Lumina comes back to Destiny 2<\/em> in year 4, it is unlikely that Rose will be available for pickup.<\/p>\n

Earned via\u00a0the Tribute Hall, Bad Juju’s acquisition is straightforward<\/a>. Players need to place enough Tributes to unlock the mysterious coffin in the middle of their hall and enter\u00a0a secret mission, and completing said mission grants Bad Juju.<\/p>\n

Of the 50 total Tributes, 18 are required for the mission,\u00a0while collecting 45 will unlock the weapon’s catalyst. The mission is a fun mini-dungeon and has a triumph\u00a0associated with it for doing it alone, without dying. Bad Juju is currently the only exotic weapon that grants additional super energy on kills, and it can be a great tool to have if getting supers quickly is crucial to the task at hand.<\/p>\n
