It has been a long wait for Rocksteady Studios to announce its next project, but finally, at DC Fandome, the developer gave fans a look at Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League<\/em><\/strong>. While still rooted in the same DC Comics universe that Rocksteady cut its teeth on, the 4-player co-op title also looks to be a significant departure for the studio.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the reveal trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League<\/em><\/a> was only CG and didn\u2019t give too many hints about the story and gameplay. Fans know that the playable characters will be Deadshot, Harley Quinn, King Shark, and Captain Boomerang, and the group will face off against Superman at some point. But the real details about the game were only revealed after the trailer concluded.<\/p>\n

In a Q&A session during DC Fandome, Rocksteady Studios director Sefton Hill revealed more details about the game and follow-up press release from WB Games had even more to offer. One of the key confirmations is that the game will be set in the Arkham game universe. Without having seen Batman, it\u2019s unclear how exactly the events of Asylum<\/em>, City<\/em>, and Knight<\/em> will influence Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League<\/em><\/a>, if at all, but there is some connection there.<\/p>\n

But while it\u2019s in the continuity, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League<\/em> is set in Metropolis instead of Gotham. Players will be able to control any of the four Suicide Squad members as part of a singleplayer experience, and they can switch between them on the fly. Of course, the big selling point of the game is 4-player online co-op but that is purely optional. Those who want to experience a signature Rocksteady Studios narrative<\/a> will be able to do so all on their own.<\/p>\n
