Over 20 years later,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/anti-rpg-moon-switch-release\/\"><em>Moon<\/em> is almost available to play in English<\/a> on the Switch.<\/p>\n<p><em>Moon<\/em> is set to release in just\u00a0two days with the classic and obscure JRPG finally being\u00a0available in English on August 27. For those eager to get on the pacifist&#8217;s &#8220;Anti-RPG&#8221;, <em>Moon<\/em> is available for pre-order and pre-load now on the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/switch\/\">Nintendo Switch<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/undertale-artist-temmie-launches-name-price-game\/\">Undertale Artist Temmie Launches Name-Your-Price Game<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Moon<\/em> stands as a special JRPG that was long believed to be a title lost to time and language. It has been dubbed by fans as the &#8220;Anti-RPG&#8221; for its non-combat approach to a genre dedicated to growth through battle. It is considered incredibly influential and a game far ahead of its time. Indie games like <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/best-greatest-rpgs-last-decade-metacritic\/\"><em>Undertale<\/em> utilize the same approach of genre subversion<\/a> that <em>Moon<\/em> pioneered back on the PlayStation 1 by developer Love-de-lic.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/FClNYk5Pbdw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The Nintendo Switch port of <em>Moon<\/em> is being developed OnionGames, a team comprising of some members of the original developer. <em>Moon<\/em> is a title about questioning the tropes and goals of RPGs that most players just believe to be game mechanics. <em>Moon<\/em> even questions the player for their actions, in a game about showing love instead of hatred.<\/p>\n<p>The wait for Moon has been a long one, even just for this Switch port. It was back in December of 2019 that the port&#8217;s writer said that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/moon-remix-rpg-localization-not-finished\/\">translation of <em>Moon<\/em> was 40 percent done<\/a>.
