This is the Gollum we all know and love.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Mt. Doom is visible in the distance, as Saruman&rsquo;s crow-like Crebain can be seen flying across Mordor, keeping an eye out for anyone that might give the big boss a hard time. Gollum initially shits himself when he sees them, but before long he reckons they&rsquo;re well on their way back to Isengard and steps back out into the open, gazing longingly at the fires that will one day see him temporarily reunite with the One Ring. Sad when you know what happens next.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-764971\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.vg247.com\/current\/\/2020\/08\/gollum-600x232.png\" alt=\"The Lord of The Rings: Gollum\" width=\"600\" height=\"232\" srcset=\"https:\/\/assets.vg247.com\/current\/2020\/08\/gollum-600x232.png 600w, https:\/\/assets.vg247.com\/current\/2020\/08\/gollum-156x60.png 156w, https:\/\/assets.vg247.com\/current\/2020\/08\/gollum-768x297.png 768w, https:\/\/assets.vg247.com\/current\/2020\/08\/gollum-1152x446.png 1152w, https:\/\/assets.vg247.com\/current\/2020\/08\/gollum-300x116.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\"><\/p>\n<p>The best part of the trailer is the last bit though, where it fades out to a title screen and Gollum says, &ldquo;Gollum.&rdquo; It sounds very like Andy Serkis&rsquo; version of the iconic little troublemaker, which is good, because Andy Serkis is good. However, he doesn&rsquo;t&nbsp;<em>look&nbsp;<\/em>like that version, which is certainly interesting given the character&rsquo;s global ubiquity in the wake of Peter Jackson&rsquo;s illustrious trilogy.<\/p>\n<p>In related news, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2020\/01\/07\/the-lord-of-the-rings-gollum-xbox-series-x-ps5\/\">The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is coming to both Xbox Series X and PS5<\/a>. It&rsquo;s also coming out on PC, and is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vg247.com\/2019\/03\/26\/lord-of-the-rings-gollum-release-2021\/\">expected to launch at some point in 2021<\/a>.
