Today, Randy Pitchford has added fuel to that fire, tweeting out a request for fan feedback on the next batch of <em>Borderlands 3<\/em> content.<\/p>\n<p>Though Pitchford does stress that this content is not guaranteed to come, the\u00a0rabid fanbase of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/borderlands-3\/\"><em>Borderlands 3<\/em><\/a> would certainly love to see more done with the game beyond 2020. While more events like Revenge of the Cartels and the batch of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/borderlands-3-first-birthday-6-mini-events\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">events to celebrate <em>Borderlands 3<\/em>&#8216;s first birthday<\/a> would be welcome, some meatier expansions would be even better to help keep the game alive in the future. Thankfully, Pitchford seemed to tease that today.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/borderlands-3-krieg-dlc-4-pre-sequel-claptrap\/\">Borderlands 3&#8217;s Krieg DLC May Share Something in Common With The Pre-Sequel<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Asking fans what they would like to see if another \u201cpremium add-on\u201d was made in the future, the Gearbox CEO was met with countless replies. In these fan responses, Bunkers and Badasses 2 was mentioned, a popular concept given how little Tiny Tina was seen in the main story of <em>Borderlands 3<\/em>. A sequel to the<em> Borderlands 2<\/em> expansion Assault on Dragon Keep seems like a great way to rectify the lack of Tina and please more fans. Regardless, Pitchford seems to be hinting at one pack as opposed to a full,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/borderlands-3-season-pass-new-second\/\">second season pass for <em>Borderlands 3<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DuvalMagic\/status\/1297912634851950593\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Even more responses came in calling for DLC characters, even though Gearbox said last year that DLC <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/borderlands-3-dlc-characters-vault-hunters\/\">characters are not in <em>Borderlands 3<\/em>&#8216;s post-launch plans<\/a>. Perhaps with more content coming that outlook will change and players will see a new vault hunter to get their hands on. The Mechromancer and Psycho packs proved incredibly popular for the previous <em>Borderlands<\/em> game, greatly adding to its longevity.<\/p>\n<p>One more thing to note about Pitchford\u2019s post is the mention of a possible \u201c(smaller) set of premium add-ons\u201d. This comment immediately brings to mind the headhunter packs from <em>Borderlands 2<\/em>, which were hour long quests added to the game after the season pass content had all been released. These packs focused mainly on holidays, however, with only the final headhunter pack breaking that formula.<\/p>\n<p>It would be interesting to see how smaller pieces of content would do in <em>Borderlands 3<\/em>, as many players would likely prefer another large expansion over anything else. It is not out of the realm of possibility given last year\u2019s release of Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary for <em>Borderlands 2<\/em>. Regardless of whether the next expansions are small or large, though, it seems like <em>Borderlands 3<\/em> will be seeing paid content drops beyond this year.
