Activision is showing off new additions to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare<\/em><\/strong> that will be included during Season Five Reloaded, which will be arriving in the game tonight. The Games of Summer event<\/a> will follow shortly after, allowing players to test their skills with the various modes that Reloaded will be bringing with it, including Ground War Reinforce mode.<\/p>\n

The last few weeks of summer are upon players, and to close out the break from cooler weather and school sessions, Activision<\/a> is hosting special events in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare<\/em><\/a> and Warzone<\/em>. With the special updates and events come game modes that fans can play to change things up, and one of the game modes that players will be able to jump into tonight is the Ground War Reinforce mode.<\/p>\n

On August 24 at 11:00 PM PST, gamers can start playing Ground War Reinforce mode. Similar to Domination mode<\/a>, this new variant mode has three flags set out around the center of the map. However, this is new take on Ground War that features a new way for players to rejoin the fight that isn’t simply respawning, as it normally would be. Instead, players will wait in Spectator mode, surveying the game while not being able to interact with anything. When one of the flags is secured by a team, the dead members of that team will come back to fight.<\/p>\n

Due to this mechanic, Ground War Reinforce mode gives players a new dynamic to play with. When one team captures all three flags, it wins the round, and after a team wins enough rounds it can claim victory. While this special variant will introduce a new spin on a current game mode in Modern Warfare<\/em>, this isn’t the first time it’s been playable in the Call of Duty<\/em> franchise. The Reinforce game mode has also appeared in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare<\/em><\/a> and Ghosts<\/em> as well. Players will only be able to play Ground War Reinforce mode while Season Five Reloaded is going on.<\/p>\n

This isn’t the only game mode that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare<\/em> players have to look forward to with these special end-of-the-summer events. Fans will also be able to participate in a Pentathlon of Trials<\/a> and complete for their country by collecting medals for their individual performances as well.<\/p>\n

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.<\/p>\n
