But one creative gamer\u00a0is bringing some levity to the lady knight with a gut-busting alternative to her normal ultimate ability.<\/p>\n<p>Even after the release of its final new hero, and a sequel coming in the indistinct-but-hopefully-near future,\u00a0<a style=\"font-style: italic;\" href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/overwatch\/\">Overwatch<\/a><i>\u00a0<\/i>is still going strong four years after launch. The game primarily owes its longevity to a fierce competitive scene and tight, ability-rich gameplay, but features like the deeply customizable Workshop\u00a0tool allow enterprising players to pump fresh life into the game with their personal creations.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/wwe-zelina-vega-overwatch-sombra-summerslam-gear\/\">WWE&#8217;s Zelina Vega Wears Overwatch Gear At SummerSlam<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/overwatch-workshop-codes\/\"><em>Overwatch&#8217;s<\/em> Workshop\u00a0has\u00a0some truly awesome variant games<\/a>\u00a0which players can freely share via codes, but\u00a0certain\u00a0entries are more about making people laugh than shaking up the shooting.<\/p>\n<p><em>Overwatch\u00a0<\/em>streamer and Workshop veteran, DarwinStreams, produced one such example in the form of a fresh ult for Brigitte. Rather than &#8220;Rally,&#8221; Brig&#8217;s\u00a0standard shield and speed boost, the shield maiden summons a small\u00a0army of\u00a0miniature Torbjorns to assail her enemies. Like a swarm of angry Swedish\u00a0bees, the tiny Torbs mob enemies with melee attacks. On Twitter, DarwinStreams released a video of the ability in action, which absolutely decimates a full-health Roadhog in seconds. It&#8217;s hard to tell where the ult\u00a0would place on <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/overwatch-game-ultimate-tier-list-abilities-first-person-shooter\/\"><em>Overwatch&#8217;s<\/em> ultimate ability tier list<\/a>, but it definitely seems viable.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DarwinStreams\/status\/1297835324819877891?ref_src=https:\/\/gamerant.com\/overwatch-brigitte-torbjorn-ultimate\/twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1297835324819877891%7Ctwgr%5E&#038;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dexerto.com%2Foverwatch%2Foverwatch-ultimate-rework-gives-brigitte-a-terrifying-torbjorn-swarm-1410441%22 frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Blizzard has radically reworked heroes&#8217; ultimate abilities before, and <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/overwatch-august-2020-update-nerfs-buffs\/\">after a hard-hitting patch, Brigitte&#8217;s kit could use a pick-me-up<\/a>. Unfortunately, the Torb-Swarm has zero chance of replacing Rally\u2014Torbjorn is but one man, and Brigitte&#8217;s father in\u00a0<em>Overwatch\u00a0<\/em>lore\u2014though many players would likely welcome the change for the memes alone. Even sadder, DarwinStreams has yet to publicly release the workshop code to make players&#8217; summoning dreams come true.<\/p>\n<p>It is possible, however, that an ability similar to this just-for-laughs ult may emerge with a new hero in <em>Overwatch 2<\/em>. After all, there isn&#8217;t anything quite like it in-game, though\u00a0the mechanics are similar to Ashe&#8217;s summoning ult, Bob, and the end result is similar to a melee-version of\u00a0Pharah&#8217;s high flying\u00a0rain of death, Barrage. <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/overwatch-2-new-heroes\/\">Blizzard has teased a lot of new heroes arriving in <em>Overwatch<\/em> <em>2<\/em>,<\/a>\u00a0and there are only so many ways to keep new\u00a0characters&#8217; kits feeling fresh.<\/p>\n<p>Coming up with distinctive\u00a0gameplay hooks for new characters\u00a0will be even more important for Blizzard in the face of\u00a0Riot Games&#8217; new squad-shooting contender,\u00a0<em>Valorant<\/em>. While\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/things-valorant-does-better-overwatch-better\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Valorant<\/em> and <em>Overwatch<\/em> have distinct strengths and weaknesses<\/a>,\u00a0the two titles often feature similar abilities, and being\u00a0the first title to debut a novel mechanic is often the difference between appearing innovative\u00a0versus derivative.
