The Blue Bomber naturally followed suit, the classic <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rockman <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">becoming the bombastic <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/mega-man\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mega Man X<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\">RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/best-action-games-super-nintendo\/\">10 of the Best Action Games on the Super Nintendo<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Capcom\u2019s intention with <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/mega-man-x\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mega Man X <\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was to offer a darker, narrative driven alternative to classic <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mega Man <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that still catered to hardcore gamers. While the original <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">X <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is easier than the games that came before it, it\u2019s a remarkably well designed action-platformer with an excellent progression system. X isn\u2019t limited to his starting equipment like his predecessor Mega Man is. By finding the four Light Capsules, X can even upgrade his armor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While it\u2019s certainly possible to get through <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mega Man X<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> without upgrading any of X\u2019s armor pieces, the game itself is designed around the player eventually finding all four before endgame. More importantly, Z\u2019s assorted semi upgrades simply bolster the gameplay\u2013 bringing out a level of mechanical depth simply unfound in classic <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mega Man<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">4 <\/span>Foot Parts (Chill Penguin)<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static0.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Mega-Man-X-1.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Foot Parts are the biggest contribution <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mega Man X <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">makes to the core gameplay loop, but the fact it\u2019s locked to an upgrade capsule does the game no favors. Dashing fundamentally changes for platforming works and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mega Man X<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019s fast paced gameplay is seemingly designed around the Foot Parts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finding the Foot Parts is as simple as going to Chill Penguin\u2019s stage. No matter what players do, they\u2019ll eventually run into the Upgrade Capsule and be forced into it. X will not be able to dash, dash jump, and dash off of walls\u2013 skills that are very much necessary for getting through the game in one piece.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Future <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">X <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">games would intelligently make X\u2019s dash a part of his natural skill set. In what is otherwise a flawlessly designed game, the fact one of X\u2019s core mechanics is hidden away is a massive oversight. If nothing else, getting the Foot Parts really is as easy as remembering to kill Chill Penguin first.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">3 <\/span>Body Parts (Sting Chameleon)<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static2.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/Mega-Man-X-Body.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To put into perspective just how key the Foot Parts are to <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mega Man X<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2019s game design, it\u2019s impossible to actually get any of the other armor parts without access to the dash. To get the Body Parts in Sting Chameleon\u2019s stage, players must dash &amp; wall jump above a cave early in the stage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\">RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/classic-nes-games-still-look-amazing-today\/\">10 Classic NES Games That Still Look Amazing Today<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Curiously, finding the Body Part Capsule is only half the battle. Instead of being given access to the Body Part upgrade, players must instead fight a mini-boss. Only upon killing the mini-boss will X be able to enter the Body Part Capsule and obtain his next upgrade. The Body Part Capsule is arguably X\u2019s most useful, cutting the damage he takes in half. For anyone ready to tackle the Sigma stages, the Body Parts are a must-have.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">2 <\/span>Head Parts (Storm Eagle)<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static2.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/MEga-Man-X-Storm-Eagle.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Head Parts aren\u2019t actually that useful in the grand scheme of things, mainly just completing X\u2019s upgraded design. That said, the Head Parts are necessary in getting the Arm Parts so they can\u2019t be skipped either. The Head Parts are found roughly midway through Storm Eagle\u2019s stage, tucked away behind gas canisters.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\">RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/mega-man-games-ranked-best-worst\/\">Ranking Every Main Mega Man Game From Worst To Best<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While the flames on the canisters might suggest X needs Flame Mammoth\u2019s weapon, simply charge shooting should be enough to blow them up. The Head Parts are specifically found after rotating set of platforms at the start of the stage. So long as players stop to explore each alcove, they\u2019ll eventually run into the canisters.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"item-title\"><span class=\"item-num\">1 <\/span>Arm Parts (Flame Mammoth)<\/h2>\n<figure><img src='https:\/\/static2.gamerantimages.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/MEga-Man-X-Zero.jpg' \/><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Arm Parts are extremely useful, doubling X\u2019s charge shot damage and allowing him to charge his Special Weapons. Heading into the endgame, the Arm Parts are absolutely essential\u2013 so essential that the game actually forces them onto X if the players misses them during their main playthrough.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To find the Arm Parts the traditional way, X needs to head to Flame Mammoth\u2019s stage after defeating Chill Penguin. Very early on in the stage, players will notice a series of blocks filling a room in the stage\u2019s ceiling. It\u2019ll be difficult, but X needs to dash jump onto the edge of the lowest block and then dash kick his way up the blocks, breaking them with his legs &amp; upgraded Head Parts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Should players make their way up, X will be greeted with the final Light Capsule and the Arm Parts. If players fail to find the Arm Parts before the Sigma stages, Zero will give X his Buster after the fight with Vile.
