After that, communication becomes limited entirely to text messages, both individual and group chat.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fKqn8WGiO6s?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The developers compare the level of drama and immersion in <em>Alice is Missing <\/em>to games like <em>Life Is Strange, Gone Home, Oxenfree, <\/em>and <em>Firewatch, <\/em>all of which draw players in using a combination of unique gameplay and a compelling, often haunting story.<\/p>\n<p>The concept of unfolding a narrative using a phone interface and text messages has been done before in indie titles like 2016\u2019s <em>Sara is Missing <\/em>and its spiritual successor <em><a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/simulacra-switch-review\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Simulacra<\/a>, <\/em>both of which require players to uncover the mystery of a missing person using their discarded cell phone. <em>Alice is Missing<\/em>, however, differs from these previous games due to its introduction of a multiplayer aspect and its emphasis on total silence.<\/p>\n<p><em>Alice is Missing <\/em>can currently be pre-ordered for 20 dollars and is scheduled to come out in December 2020.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"next-single\">MORE: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/bloodlines-2-video-game-tabletop-comparison\/\">Bloodlines 2: 5 Ways The Video Game Is Best (&amp;
