Unfortunately,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/lego-star-wars-skywalker-saga-yaddle-playable\/\">both the developer and LEGO have largely stayed silent<\/a> on when fans could expect\u00a0the latest compilation of <em>Star Wars\u00a0<\/em>adaptations,\u00a0<strong><em>LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>However, fans finally received a first indication of when they could expect to see the game today, before LEGO promptly removed this hint from its own website.<\/p>\n<p>Twitter user Wario64 noticed a teaser for\u00a0<em>LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga\u00a0<\/em>that claimed the game was coming in 2021. Earlier this year, the official\u00a0<em>Star Wars\u00a0<\/em>YouTube channel reported that the nine-story <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/lego-star-wars-the-skywalker-saga-release-date-leak\/\"><em>Skywalker Saga<\/em>\u00a0would be coming out<\/a> this October.\u00a0However, the LEGO website directly contradicted that today, when it claimed that\u00a0the latest\u00a0LEGO\u00a0adaptation would be coming in 2021. Although LEGO quickly deleted this reference to the game&#8217;s true release date, several\u00a0<em>Star Wars\u00a0<\/em>fans quickly caught on.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/lego-star-wars-skywalker-saga-box-art-revealed\/\">LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Box Art Revealed<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Wario64&#8217;s tweet was able to capture a screenshot of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/lego-star-wars-the-skywalker-saga\"><em>LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga<\/em><\/a> web page earlier today, which claimed that the Travellers Tales&#8217; game would be releasing in 2021. After taking down the page for a moment, LEGO brought up a new message that says &#8220;<em>The Skywalker Saga &#8211; Coming Soon.&#8221;\u00a0<\/em>However, it is important to note that LEGO has not commented on the reason for the\u00a0change or on the release date.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Wario64\/status\/1298677783715930114\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In response, several Twitter users largely believed that the 2021 release date was real. After all, Travellers&#8217; Tales could have faced serious difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Some\u00a0fans criticized\u00a0<em>LEGO Star Wars<\/em>&#8216; marketing for repeatedly releasing new information prematurely. Outside of an early announcement of the October 2020 release date on YouTube, one YouTuber reportedly<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/lego-star-wars-skywalker-saga-menu-leak\/\"> leaked\u00a0<em>The Skywalker Saga<\/em>&#8216;s title screen<\/a> earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>But others expressed hope that a delay to 2021 would allow the developers to refine the game further. Citing the<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/star-wars-rise-skywalker-backlash-daisy-ridley-reaction\/\"> backlash surrounding <em>The Rise of Skywalker<\/em>,<\/a>\u00a0several fans said they were optimistic that the extra development time would allow Travellers&#8217; Tales to properly adapt the controversial sequel trilogy with its traditional comedic flair.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, fans won&#8217;t have to wait long for more news about\u00a0the next <em>LEGO Star Wars\u00a0<\/em>game. A few hours ago, industry insider Geoff Keighley teased <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/lego-star-wars-the-skywalker-saga-delayed-2021\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a worldwide gameplay reveal for <em>The Skywalker Saga<\/em><\/a><em>\u00a0<\/em>tomorrow at Gamescom.
