The future of Call of Duty: Warzone <\/em><\/strong>and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War <\/em>are intertwined, with both games growing together. Activision has previously confirmed that War<\/em>zone<\/a> will continue into the Call of Duty: <\/em>Cold War <\/em>launch, but now fans have even more to look forward to.<\/p>\n

Fans have been questioning the combined nature of Warzone <\/em>and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War,\u00a0<\/em>with many asking what will come of their Modern Warfare <\/em>gear<\/a>. Recently, Activision announced the solution to this problem, and fans will be happy with the result.<\/p>\n

Sunriseread reports that Activision has confirmed Warzone <\/em>content will be accessible during the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War <\/em>launch in November<\/a>. Fans will be able to access their gear, gadgets, and goodies even after\u00a0Warzone<\/em> merges with Cold War. <\/em>Fans who have earned “Trendy Warfare” prizes will also see their content available in the next game’s launch. This does mean that player’s Operators, Weapon Blueprints, and stylish watches are not going to be simply abandoned for the new game.<\/p>\n

This entire principle becomes possible due to the joint development of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold <\/em>War <\/em>itself. With Raven Software working on both titles, they can easily implement the graphical changes needed for Warzone <\/em>and Cold War <\/em>equipment to exist in the same game<\/a>. The alternative to this solution would be to host Warzone <\/em>goodies in a separate ecosystem making them only accessible in non-Cold War <\/em>situations. Although effective, it would cost players tons of hard-earned cosmetics as they moved to the next game.<\/p>\n

One interesting side effect of this decision is the newfound permanence in Warzone <\/em>itself. For years, fans have abandoned their efforts as they moved from title to title following the yearly release schedule of Activision. With a more permanent environment, fans now have the opportunity to watch as their battle royale evolves in the ever-changing atmosphere of yearly releases. This evolution creates an interesting combination of Warzone <\/em>and every title it comes in contact with.<\/p>\n

If the trend of carrying Warzone <\/em>continues into future releases, fans will look back and discover that it has become an entirely different game. With an investment, players will continue to follow the battle royale allowing Activision ample marketing situations. Thie ability to carry over loot from previous installments is the first step towards a more decorated and permanent Call of Duty: Warzone <\/em>future<\/a>.<\/p>\n
