Among those updates came an\u00a0announcement for\u00a0the\u00a0<em>Dungeons &amp; Dragons<\/em>-inspired CRPG,\u00a0<em><strong>Solasta: Crown of the Magister<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Developed and published by Tactical Adventures,\u00a0<em>Solasta: Crown of the Magister<\/em> is set for release via Steam early access this fall. It&#8217;s a tactical, turn-based RPG\u00a0that actually uses the 5th edition\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/dungeons-dragons-tashas-cauldron-everything-alternative-cover-art\/\"><em>Dungeons &amp; Dragons<\/em> sourcebook<\/a> for many of its mechanics, and applies them to the world of Solasta.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/doom-eternal-ancient-gods-part-1-dlc-release-date-trailer-gamescom\/\">Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods Part 1 DLC Release Date Revealed With Gamescom Trailer<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Solasta: Crown of the Magister<\/em> is designed to allow players to create their own adventuring party (stat-rolling and all) and set out on an adventure as they would in a game of pencil-and-paper\u00a0<em>Dungeons &amp; Dragons<\/em>. Those curious as to how the game will work can check out the demo that just became available today on\u00a0<em>Solasta<\/em>&#8216;s Steam page, or take a tour of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/gamescom-indie-playable-demo\/\">its online Indie Arena Booth<\/a>. Ultimately, Tactical Adventures&#8217; vision for\u00a0<em>Solasta<\/em> is to be the digital video game version of a\u00a0<em>D&amp;D<\/em> session.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-8wXRR35dII?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/solasta-crown-of-the-magister-preview-dungeons-dragons-5e\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Solasta: Crown of the Magister<\/em><\/a> first made itself known as a Kickstarter project which raised\u00a0more than $270,000, significantly breaking its original goal.
