During today’s many Gamescom 2020 presentations, the space simulation MMORPG\u00a0Dual Universe<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0got a brand new gameplay overview video. Hosted by\u00a0Novaquark CEO and Creative Director JC Baillie, the video explores the possibilities within\u00a0Dual Universe<\/em><\/a> and highlights some of the greatest achievements thus far by the game’s community.<\/p>\n

Dual Universe<\/em> is a first-person sandbox MMO designed to combine elements of\u00a0Eve Online\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Star Citizen<\/em>,\u00a0among others, to craft its gameplay experience. Currently in beta,\u00a0Dual Universe<\/em> focuses on\u00a0social gameplay<\/a> that includes\u00a0exploration, mining, crafting, and trade.<\/p>\n

In the gameplay overview,\u00a0JC Baillie showcased areas of the game developed entirely by players within the beta;\u00a0Dual Universe<\/i> is set in a continuous single-shard universe which allows players to fully edit the environment and “sculpt matter the way you want,” as Baillie said. The presentation included space stations and gigantic spaceships custom-made by players, and Baillie explained that not only are such structures craftable, but players can make blueprints and sell them using in-game currency to other players who wish to make them as well.<\/p>\n
