In turn,\u00a0<em><strong>Fortnite<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>has been forcibly removed from both companies&#8217; storefronts, leaving a lot of the game&#8217;s users confused as to what the status and future of the title will be on mobile devices.<\/p>\n<p>It seems Epic Games wants to assure players that it will still be offering the\u00a0mobile version of\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/fortnite\/\">Fortnite<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>for fans on Android platforms, sending an email to those who&#8217;ve downloaded the game through Google Play that better explains what happens next. According to the publisher,\u00a0<em>Fortnite\u00a0<\/em>will still be playable through the Epic Games Store Android app, which can be accessed by going to\u00a0Fortnite.com\/Android.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/fortnite-vs-apple-microtransaction-ios-phones-legal-lawsuit\/\">Fortnite&#8217;s Epic Games-Apple Legal Battle Will Have Big Ramifications<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Going to the site will offer players a QR code which, once scanned, will take them to a link to download either the Epic Games Store app or the game itself courtesy of the Samsung Galaxy storefront. Interestingly, Epic also details what players who still own\u00a0<em>Fortnite\u00a0<\/em>on the Google Play Store can expect to discover when they launch the game, with the company claiming that they can continue to play the previous update. However,\u00a0they won&#8217;t be able to play\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/rumor-fortnite-adding-spider-man-marvel-crossover-event\/\"><em>Fortnite<\/em> Chapter 2: Season\u00a04<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0it seems they won&#8217;t be able to\u00a0amass any\u00a0further progression either.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FNInfoAndLeaks\/status\/1299158412161363969\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>It seems they&#8217;ll also be unable to\u00a0buy any new cosmetics, complete challenges, or send gifts, while duos, limited-time events, and battle lab are all also going to be cut for Google Play users. All things considered, it seems wise\u00a0for current\u00a0players\u00a0to\u00a0make the jump to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/epic-games-store-supports-achievements\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Epic Games Store<\/a> app or Samsung Galaxy&#8217;s storefront if they want access to the full\u00a0<em>Fortnite\u00a0<\/em>experience.<\/p>\n<p>For those unfamiliar with Epic Games Store&#8217;s recent feud with Apple and Google, the conflict started after the company began to bypass both storefront&#8217;s payment systems, essentially cutting them out of the game&#8217;s stream of revenue.\u00a0<em>Fortnite\u00a0<\/em>was quickly pulled from both app stores, which angered\u00a0Epic Games, resulting in them posting a parody advertisement of Apple&#8217;s iconic <em>1984<\/em> ad asking for support in its battle against the giant tech mainstay. The resulting feud has been deemed incredibly immoral by many, with critics rightly pointing out that <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/epic-tim-sweeney-weaponize-fans-response\/\">Epic Games is a billion-dollar company trying to weaponize its young fans<\/a> into fighting\u00a0back against an equally large corporate giant.
