Many gamers love\u00a0a good, eerie, adrenaline-racing zombie game.\u00a0It might seem strange during the time of a pandemic, but post-apocalyptic games do well on the market regardless. It is also worth noting that Halloween, a celebration of scares and when plenty of classic horror games have seen their release, is coming in two months.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, some of these titles are set to be released this year. From the highly anticipated\u00a0Dying Light 2<\/em><\/a>\u00a0to the spicy rumor of\u00a0Resident Evil 4: Remake<\/em>, here are the top ten horror games we’re looking forward to seeing in the second half of 2020.<\/p>\n

10 <\/span>Dying Light 2 (TBA)<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

It’s been two years since Techland announced\u00a0Dying Light 2<\/em>\u00a0during E3 2018. Set roughly fifteen years after the first\u00a0Dying Light<\/em>\u00a0game events,\u00a0Dying Light 2\u00a0<\/em>will let players control Aiden Caldwell, an apocalypse survivor with over-the-top parkour skills trying to survive the dead city.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, following\u00a0the sexual misconduct allegations<\/a>\u00a0against Chris Avellone, the game’s lead writer, Techland has parted way with him, leaving the development of\u00a0Dying Light 2<\/em>\u00a0in limbo.<\/p>\n

9 <\/span>Remothered: Broken Porcelain (October)<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

As the game title suggests,\u00a0Remothered: Broken Porcelain<\/em><\/a>\u00a0is a straight sequel to 2018 award-winning\u00a0Remothered: Tormented Fathers.\u00a0<\/em>Set in Ashmann Inn,\u00a0Broken Porcelain<\/em>\u00a0will center around the rebellious boarding school girl Jen trying to connect the dots to reveal her manor’s gruesome history.<\/p>\n

After all,\u00a0Broken Porcelain\u00a0<\/em>is the missing link we all need to\u00a0Tormented Fathers<\/em>. If you enjoyed navigating Dr. Richard Felton’s mansion and diving into its secrets, look out for this game on October 20, 2020.<\/p>\n

8 <\/span>Resident Evil 4: Remake (Rumor)<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Up to this writing, Capcom has released two remakes of its classic horror hits:\u00a0Resident Evil 2<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Resident Evil 3<\/em>. With that being said, it’s no surprise if they’re working on\u00a0Resident Evil 4<\/em>. This is all supposition on the part of players, but with some promising rumors abounding<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, as the team is gearing up for\u00a0Village<\/em>, there aren’t too many details to be told about the remake. So, fingers crossed.<\/p>\n

7 <\/span>Resident Evil: Village (More Details Coming This Year)<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Following the lackluster acceptance of\u00a0Resident Evil 6<\/em><\/a>, Capcom made a comeback to the franchise’s original horror roots with\u00a0Resident Evil 7: Biohazard<\/em>, and it was a massive success.<\/p>\n

Its sequel,\u00a0Resident Evil Village<\/em><\/a>, is set to see a 2021 release. With an update coming, fans are more than amped for\u00a0Resident Evil Village<\/em>, even though our favorite BSAA hero Chris Redfield will likely take more of an antagonistic role.<\/p>\n

6 <\/span>Dead Island 2 (TBA)<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Remember the highly anticipated\u00a0Dead Island 2<\/em><\/a>? It’s not your fault if you don’t because the game has seen a plethora of shifts along the way. First, Techland worked on developing it back in 2012 before the Polish video game company set its focus on developing\u00a0Dying Light<\/em>\u00a0instead. Since then,\u00a0Dead Island 2<\/em>\u00a0has moved from one developer to another, from Yager Development to Dambuster Studio.<\/p>\n

However, Yager’s leak of under-developed\u00a0Dead Island 2<\/em>\u00a0gameplay surfaced online in June this year. This has given fans a bit of faith, so, here’s hoping.<\/p>\n

5 <\/span>The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope (October)<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Although this may not be classified as a straightforward ‘zombie’ game,\u00a0Little Hope<\/em>\u00a0has all the similar elements to spook its players<\/a>. The sophomore title of\u00a0The Dark Pictures Anthology<\/em>\u00a0series and the sequel to\u00a0Man of Medan<\/em>\u00a0will be set around four college students and their professor as they’re stranded in the fictional dead city of Little Hope.<\/p>\n

Just like its predecessor,\u00a0Little Hope<\/em>\u00a0will have branching storylines with plenty of endings to discover. If you’re hyped already, be prepared for its release on October 30.<\/p>\n

4 <\/span>Back 4 Blood (TBA)<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Remember the good old days of\u00a0Left 4 Dead<\/em>? Turtle Rock, formerly known as Valve South, took to\u00a0Twitter<\/a>\u00a0last July to share the first concept art of the upcoming\u00a0Left 4 Dead<\/em>-inspired game,\u00a0Back 4 Blood<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Although the release date for this game hasn’t been revealed so far, expect\u00a0Back 4 Blood<\/em>\u00a0to be released for PS4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows platforms.<\/p>\n

3 <\/span>The Walking Dead Onslaught (September)<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Not to be confused with Telltale’s\u00a0The Walking Dead<\/em><\/a>, VR-supported\u00a0\u00a0Walking Dead Onslaught<\/em>\u00a0has an entirely separate graphic style and storyline than its spiritual predecessor. It will center the story of five different survivors with only a few moral lines left to cross: Rick, Daryl, Carol, Michonne, and Eugene. It was set to release back in 2019 but was later delayed until September 2020.<\/p>\n

2 <\/span>Undead Nightmare 2 (Rumor)<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

A recent\u00a0Halloween update leak<\/a>\u00a0for\u00a0Red Dead Redemption 2<\/em>\u00a0has led many fans to theorize there will be another\u00a0Undead Nightmare.<\/em>\u00a0On top of that, the recent\u00a0Naturalist<\/em><\/a>\u00a0update didn’t sit right with most fans, and Rockstar’s only way out to make big bank off RDR2 could be an\u00a0Undead Nightmare 2<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Still, there is not ground to confirm anything about this expansion pack, but there is nothing wrong with hoping for it with Halloween coming soon.<\/p>\n

1 <\/span>Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Quarantine (TBA)<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Set several years in the future after the events of the Rainbow Six<\/em> universe,\u00a0Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Quarantine<\/em>\u00a0will be a tactical co-op shooting game that promises a brand new, more radical experience of survival.<\/p>\n

Up to this writing, there is no other information about the game’s exact release date except that it is potentially between now and March 2021.<\/p>\n
