Wasteland 3\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>players that invest skill points into Animal Whisperer will be able to recruit a variety of different companions as they make their way across the game’s post-apocalyptic Colorado. That said,\u00a0certain animals in\u00a0Wasteland\u00a0<\/em><\/a>3<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>can be convinced to join a party through alternative methods, and one such beast is Major Tomcat.\u00a0For\u00a0those players that are curious about how that is done, as well as for those that have already recruited this Animal Companion and have further questions, this guide has all of the details.<\/p>\n

To begin, Wasteland 3<\/em> players<\/a> that do not have any party members with a single point put into Animal Whisperer, which is all that is required to recruit Major Tomcat by way of conversation, can use a cigarette. While this may sound both strange and cruel, offering the cat a smoke is enough to bring him into the fold, and it is advisable to do exactly that, as Major Tomcat is surprisingly powerful in combat.<\/p>\n

Indeed, this Animal Companion will happily join a fight if he is recruited to a squad in Wasteland 3<\/em><\/a>, and his claws can deal quite a lot of damage. Major Tomcat is certainly not unstoppable, though, as it possible for him to die. While this not extremely likely to occur in the earliest stages of the game, things can get dangerous for the cat as players progress through this acclaimed RPG<\/a>, and\u00a0fans that do not want Major Tomcat to end up dead may wish to leave him in a safe location when stronger enemies start to appear.<\/p>\n
