Fortnite<\/strong><\/em> is well known for its crossover events, as well as its battle royale gameplay. The most recent crossover event in Fortnite<\/em><\/a> brings in a range of Marvel characters and allows players to complete themed challenges as well as unlock new content. The map in the game has seen changes with the introduction of this crossover and the beginning of Season 4 and a Black Panther monument has been unveiled.<\/p>\n

The Marvel crossover has seen the introduction of characters like She-Hulk, Doctor Doom, Wolverine, Thor, and Groot. This new content excited many players and leaks have suggested more Marvel content coming to Fortnite<\/em><\/a>. One leak previously pointed towards Black Panther content arriving in the coming weeks, however, a statue has appeared sooner than expected. This statue has likely been released earlier in order to commemorate Chadwick Boseman, who portrayed the iconic superhero in the 2018 film.<\/p>\n

To the west of Misty Meadows, players will find a giant Black Panther statue on the top of a hill. From this point, players can take in a far-reaching view, but many will be focused on the cultural significance the character and the actor that played him has had. This statue is likely just the start of more themed content that will arrive in the game and many will want to savor the homages to the Black Panther character and Chadwick Boseman himself. It will be interesting to see how Fortnite<\/em><\/a>\u00a0continues to add Black Panther into the game, but this statue which appears to have arrived earlier than anticipated seems to be appreciated by fans.<\/p>\n

Many fans will hope that Black Panther comes to the game after seeing this statue and it will be interesting to see what challenges would be implemented with the character.\u00a0Fortnite<\/em> is continuing to update<\/a>\u00a0and with that will come new characters, items, and areas in the map to explore. There are plenty of fans who are looking forward to being able to play with the full Avengers and X-Men rosters and it will be intriguing to see if Fortnite<\/em> can deliver this.<\/p>\n

A lot of fans are\u00a0paying tribute to Chadwick Boseman<\/a> and this statue in Fortnite<\/em> seems to be a respectful addition to the game in the wake of the actor’s death. The work of Boseman has had a huge impact not only in films and games but on popular culture as a whole and this has been reflected by the reaction to his passing. With this in mind, the legacy of the Black Panther actor will likely continue for many years to come.<\/p>\n

Fortnite<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is free-to-play for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.<\/p>\n
