For instance, last month one <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/desperados-3-barons-challenges-update-animals\/\">Baron&#8217;s Challenge added a stealthy crew of animals<\/a>\u00a0to use. However, today players officially got access the first of its three-part paid DLC, called &#8220;Money for the Vultures,&#8221; to continue <em>Desperados 3<\/em>&#8216;s story.<\/p>\n<p>Kicking off three months after the main game ends, the mission\u00a0&#8220;Late to the Party&#8221; has the Desperados gang reunite to find a vault of money\u00a0hidden by antagonist Vincent DeWitt, only to come across looters already swarming his manor. This first part of the DLC costs $4.99 according to its listing on Steam, but interested parties\u00a0can also buy the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/desperados-3-collectors-edition-contents-revealed\/\"><em>Desperados 3<\/em> Season Pass<\/a> for $12.99 that will include Part 2 &#8220;later this year,&#8221; as well as an &#8220;epic finale&#8221; further down the line.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/desperados-3-review\/\">Desperados 3 Review<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Though the story of this mission seems derivative of the kinds of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/path-of-exile-heist-league-oceans-eleven\/\">heist movies that have also inspired games like\u00a0<em>Path of Exile<\/em><\/a>, right down to a description in the launch trailer telling players to &#8220;find out if the enigmatic Rosie from Baton Rogue can really be trusted,&#8221; fans\u00a0will probably be happy to have more content to dive into. <em>Desperados 3<\/em> is one of the highest-rated games of 2020\u00a0on aggregate site OpenCritic, and\u00a0a new three-part story may bolster that acclaim further.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/45ON16lufMc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The base campaign in <em>Desperados 3<\/em> is a prequel to the original game in the franchise, 2001&#8217;s<em> Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive<\/em>. There are <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/desperados-3-length-how-many-missions-long-to-beat-hltb-hours\/\">16 missions across three chapters in <em>Desperados 3<\/em><\/a>, taking around 25 hours to complete, so it will be interesting to see how Money for the Vultures builds upon that experience and bridges the gap between games when all is said and done.<\/p>\n<p>If all of that content still isn&#8217;t enough for hardcore fans of the <em>Desperados<\/em>\u00a0series, there are even more Wild West experiences for players to get their hands on outside of the video game. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/desperados-pen-paper-rpg-rulebook-free\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Desperados Pen &amp; Paper RPG<\/em> released alongside <em>Desperados 3<\/em><\/a>, and its rulebook is currently free to download.<\/p>\n<p>Developer Mimimi Games, which had a hand in creating\u00a0the adjacent tabletop RPG, seems to have done well for itself when reviving this cult classic tactical strategy series.
