Releasing late last month for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One,\u00a0Wasteland 3\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>has quickly become one of the best-reviewed games of the year,\u00a0netting a solid 86 on Metacritic<\/a>. The title is\u00a0arguably the best in the series to date, with critics citing its choice and consequence mechanics and engaging\u00a0combat as being far more expansive and\u00a0well-implemented\u00a0overall.<\/p>\n

However, it seems not everything in the third entry of the\u00a0Wasteland<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>series is perfect, with players reporting that the sequel’s\u00a0co-op mode currently has a number of significant technical issues. According to numerous sources, the game is something of a mess when\u00a0experienced with a friend, with\u00a0players even claiming that a major glitch resets hours of progress for those unlucky enough to encounter it.<\/p>\n

One source that published a significant deep-dive\u00a0on the issue was Polygon, with author Cass Marshal reporting that their time with the new RPG<\/a> had seen some severe bugs and technical mishaps. “The first night we tried, we were unable to connect. We were also unable to connect on our third day, despite some previous successes. The lobby simply refused to acknowledge that the other player had joined,”\u00a0Marshal claims when discussing\u00a0some initial issues. Eventually, they got into a game, playing a significant portion of it with a co-op partner. However, the pair eventually came up against\u00a0a widely reported\u00a0game-breaking bug, with Marshal\u00a0revealing that the home base\u00a0“had completely reverted to its original state…\u00a0there was no way to progress or reset the game besides reloading a previous save.”<\/p>\n
