In\u00a0The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time<\/em><\/a>, there are things a player can do that will provide nice benefits in the future; planting Magic Beans is one of them. Each\u00a0Zelda<\/em><\/a> game comes with its own plot, and this particular game is divided by time travel. Basically, people either play as young Link, or Link seven years in the future.<\/p>\n

By planting the Magic Beans, players are providing future Link with some handy shortcuts. This is because each magic bean seed planted sprouts a magic platform plant that transports Link to different areas in the game. Some of these lead to Gold Skulltulas, Pieces of Heart, rupees, and more.<\/p>\n

11 <\/span>The Bean Seller Location<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

This is the most important part of the mission. Without locating the Bean Seller, this quest can’t be completed. It’s pretty easy to find him, though. Just follow the bank that leads to Zora’s River and he’ll be right there, chomping down on his pricey Magic Beans.<\/p>\n

Actually, the bean prices\u00a0don’t start off too steep, but the cost\u00a0rises with each purchase. The bean prices range from 10 rupees to 100 rupees, so make sure Link’s wallets are always ready to make deals with the bean guy. In other words, players will need the Adult’s Wallet to complete this mission. It’ll also save players some travel time to save up just enough money to buy all the beans at once. Save up 500 rupees.<\/p>\n

10 <\/span>Right By The Bean Guy: Quicker Access To Zora’s Domain<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

The first one is extremely simple. In short, look right next to the Bean Seller to see a dirt patch with a little hole in the middle. Place the magic bean there to grow a bean sprout. Boom, there’s the first one.<\/p>\n

Just peek at the map to see exactly where Link is standing. This will also aid in finding the Bean Seller himself. Just like any other good old-fashioned mission, the beginning is always the easiest. Keep in mind, the locations are\u00a0not always going to be this obvious.\u00a0The payoff is that Adult Link can quickly get to Zora’s Domain without traversing up the river or taking the Lost Woods shortcut.<\/p>\n

9 <\/span>Bridge In The Lost Woods: A Shortcut To Hyrule Field<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

The best way to access this sprout is by going into the Lost Woods and turning left upon entering. Here, the Skull Kid is present. Ignore him for now, and exit to the left again. This is the area around the bridge to Kokiri\u00a0Forest. The bean sprout dirt spot will be the first thing in sight.<\/p>\n

From here, it’s easiest to just go ahead and knock out the next Lost Woods sprout. This will save players some time. Just make sure that navigating the Lost Woods isn’t a task within itself, because it definitely can be. This platform will make it easier for Link to get from the Lost Woods to Hyrule. Why is this necessary? The Trading Sequence side quest requires a quick delivery from this area, and the platform can make this a bit quicker.<\/p>\n

8 <\/span>The Lost Woods Part 2: A Gold Skulltula<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

This one is in the room where the Forest Stage game is. There are also two greedy, cowardly Deku Scrubs hanging out here. In fact, the seed plot is right beside the Scrub on the right. Since the Lost Woods is so trippy, getting to this room is the main concern.<\/p>\n

From the entrance, turn right, then left, then right, then left again, and finally make another left to arrive. It’s easier to just go ahead and combat the Scrubs to get them out of the way, then plant the magic bean. Ta-da! The payoff lies in a good ole Gold Skulltula that awaits at the top of the platform’s path.<\/p>\n

7 <\/span>Kokiri Forest: 26 Rupees And An Aerial Tour<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

This is definitely one of the easier locations to find. The fourth seed pod is located behind the Kokiri shop. Simply walk to the right side of the shop and spot the dirt patch. Plant the seed and wait seven years for full growth.<\/p>\n

This one is pretty much for fun. After hopping onto this bean platform, Link gets a nice aerial tour of Kokiri Forest. The only benefit to this aside from its coolness is that players can pick up 26 rupees. It’s still fun and it’s necessary when completing the Magic Bean quest.<\/p>\n

6 <\/span>Kakariko Village Graveyard: A Heart Piece<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Upon entering the graveyard, go up to the lower left corner to find the dirt patch. Plant a magic bean and patiently wait seven years for its growth. Thanks to the Magic Bean sponsors “Master Sword” and “Temple of Time,” the miracle grow method is possible. Just place the Master Sword in the Pedestal of Time to speed through those seven years like it’s nothing.<\/p>\n

This bean platform is one of the more helpful ones, taking Link to a new Piece of Heart. He needs to be properly prepared for that Ganon fight<\/a>, so the more Pieces of Heart, the better.<\/p>\n

5 <\/span>Death Mountain\u00a0Crater: Two Pieces Of Heart<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

This one is pretty quick, but it’s only possible for players who know the Bolero of Fire. Simply use this song to warp to the Death Mountain Crater pedestal, and the dirt pod will be right beside Link.<\/p>\n

It’s safe to say that this is one of the most beneficial platforms. With this one, Link can obtain two Pieces of Heart.<\/p>\n

4 <\/span>Death Mountain Trail: A Piece Of Heart And Shortcut<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

This bean patch is pretty straightforward. Simply climb up Death Mountain from Kakariko Village to find a dirt patch right in front of Dodongo’s Cavern. It’s also possible to reach this from Goron City by going down the mountain instead of up. Either way, it’s an easy find.<\/p>\n

The bean is basically a power-up helper for Link. It can help players quickly find a Piece of Heart, it acts as a s shortcut to Goron City and Death Mountain, and it also helps speed up the Biggoron Sword side quest<\/a>. This is definitely a handy bean worth planting.<\/p>\n

3 <\/span>Lake Hylia: A Piece Of Heart and Fishing Pond Access<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Lake Hylia’s Lakeside Laboratory is the next location, as it has\u00a0a bean plot right beside it. This one is very simple to find, and is located next to a Gold Skulltula.<\/p>\n

Like many other bean platforms, this one has many uses. It will take Link to a Piece of Heart on top of the Laboratory, and it\u00a0can get him to the Fishing Pond, which is beneficial for players who haven’t beaten the Water Temple.<\/p>\n

2 <\/span>Gerudo Valley: A Piece Of Heart and Lots of Cash<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

As a kid, Link will see a Gerudo woman and a milk cow right next to this bean spot. The easiest way to get to this one is to risk some hearts by diving off the bridge to Gerudo Valley and landing on the platform instead of in the water. Ouch. Yeah, it smarts, but it’s the simplest way. Walk on down this little island to find the patch alongside the cow and the woman.<\/p>\n

This bean platform takes Link in the air and helps him collect red rupees. It ends at the Piece of Heart that’s located behind the waterfall. Overall, this bean is a good-time investment.<\/p>\n

1 <\/span>Desert Colossus: A Gold Skulltula and A Heart Piece<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

The beautiful Requiem of Spirit is necessary in completing this last bean-planting mission. Warp to the Desert Colossus and make way to the temple’s entrance. There will be a dirt patch right outside the door.<\/p>\n

There are many benefits to this magic bean. There’s a Gold Skulltula and a\u00a0Piece of Heart awaiting players who use this bean platform.<\/p>\n
