The game is a remake of the first installment of the franchise and looks set to greatly improve the visuals and gameplay that previously featured in the widely enjoyed original title. As a result, many players are expecting <em>Mafia: Definitive Edition<\/em> to be one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/new-video-game-releases-september-2020\/\">biggest releases of September<\/a> and fans got an insight into how the open-world will look through a new teaser trailer.<\/p>\n<p>The original game was released in 2002 and followed the unlikely rise of\u00a0Thomas &#8220;Tommy&#8221; Angelo through the mob and the challenges they face during prohibition. The remake looks set to provide a catalog of updates and breathe new life into this story. After a couple of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/mafia-definitive-edition-release-date-delay\/\">delays to <em>Mafia: Definitive Edition<\/em><\/a>, the game looks set to release at the end of the month and the new look at the city will excite fans who want to return to Lost Heaven.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/mafia-definitive-edition-original-hardest-level\/\">Mafia: Definitive Edition Contains The Original&#8217;s Hardest Level<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/mafia\/\"><em>Mafia: Definitive Edition<\/em><\/a> trailer runs for under a minute but highlights the beauty of the rebuilt world and its &#8220;distinct&#8221; areas by panning through in-game footage that shows incredibly realistic streets. Alongside these panning shots are scenes of action that include realistic flames, car chases, and most importantly plenty of gunfire. Through text, the trailer details the setting and it seems to be exciting fans of the city of Lost Heaven. Whether the game can avoid issues and deliver a stunning open-world remains to be seen, but this trailer gives fans plenty to look forward to.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/mafia-definitive-edition-gamescom-trailer\/\">visual improvements in <em>Mafia: Definitive Edition<\/em><\/a> are evident and many will hope that the gameplay will also have some tweaks to make it more enjoyable for a contemporary audience.
