As previously mentioned earlier in the summer, Bungie intends Destiny 2: Beyond Light<\/em><\/strong> to be the start of a new direction for the popular series. Part of that involves the Darkness finally arriving, a major component of the franchise that has been seemingly in development since the very first game launched. Everything that happens from a gameplay and narrative perspective<\/a> essentially branches out from the events of Beyond Light. However, fan concerns have continued to rise over the lack of news on the specific content available inside of the expansion at launch.<\/p>\n

The concerns of the Destiny 2<\/em><\/a> fanbase hit a fever pitch following the release of Bungie’s latest weekly update blog. While this week dealt a lot on triumphs and seals and how they’re changing due to content being removed from the game, a followup comment by Community Manager Cozmo23 laid out the full strike playlist for fans. In addition to Cosmodrome strikes like Fallen S.A.B.E.R. and Devil’s Lair making a return, Cozmo confirmed that the new destination of Europa will only have 1 new strike.<\/p>\n

That revelation has seemingly raised the red flag for many players, who now want answers as to what they’ll be paying for come November 10. Bungie has spoken at length about the new story line involving the Darkness, the new destination of Europa, new gear and weapons, as well as the three new subclasses using the new element Stasis<\/a>. However, outside of that, the actual content portions of Beyond Light are still a mystery, making the large portion of content being vaulted looking even worse.<\/p>\n

Many have begun to compare Beyond Light to Shadowkeep<\/a> which was not only five dollars less but it also included the Season of the Undying pass as well. While the expansion wasn’t quite as large as Forsaken before it,\u00a0Shadowkeep still managed to add in a new campaign, added\u00a0two new strikes, a new dungeon, as well as the Alters of Sorrow public event and the Nightmare Hunt modes.<\/p>\n

With two months left before the launch of Beyond Light, Bungie still has time to discuss what fans can expect from the expansion on day 1. However, the message from fans is clear. Just like the early days of Destiny 2<\/em>, players want more communication from Bungie and to be more transparent about what kind of content awaits them at launch.<\/p>\n

While there are still many questions surrounding Beyond Light, fans should expect more than a few secrets. While this could take the form as a hidden mission in the vein of The Whisper, Bungie seems to be hinting that they may also be picking up Uldren Sov’s story line<\/a> within the Cosmodrome’s return. An image from the blog posts shows a symbol that matches Uldren’s former army when he was known as The Crow. Considering that in-game gear has revealed Uldren to be hiding out in the Cosmodrome, lost without his memories after being resurrected as a new Guardian, players now expect to not only find the former villain, but to set up him up as the location’s vendor.<\/p>\n

Destiny 2<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.<\/p>\n
