The original 2017 release of Super Lucky\u2019s Tale<\/em><\/strong> came with a few shortcomings in hindsight, namely that Super Lucky’s Tale<\/em>\u00a0was exclusive to Microsoft platforms<\/a>. On the plus side, though, everyone who owns the game on Xbox One can now get their hands on its DLC packs for free, no strings attached.<\/p>\n

Last month saw the expanded remake of the game, New Super Lucky\u2019s Tale<\/em>, make its way onto the PS4 and Xbox One<\/a>. This was good news for the new version, but it also resulted in the original Super Lucky\u2019s Tale<\/em> being delisted from the Microsoft Store, leaving owners who had never bought its DLC packs, Gilly Island<\/em> and Guardian Trials<\/em>, with no way to do so.<\/p>\n

Having never planned to delist the game and its add-ons \u2014 apparently complex issues involving different publishing and platform partners are to blame for the removal \u2014 Playful stated it would try to give Super Lucky\u2019s Tale\u2019<\/em><\/a>s DLC away for free via email. This would have been a tall order for a small studio to handle, but fortunately, that won\u2019t be necessary anymore. Thanks to \u201coverwhelming demand,\u201d the studio has managed to get the Gilly Island<\/em> and Guardian Trials<\/em> packs relisted on the Microsoft Store, where they are currently available at no cost.<\/p>\n

This deal only applies to the DLC at this time, so newcomers are going to have to settle for putting money down on New Super Lucky\u2019s Tale<\/em> if they\u2019re interested. That being said, the Xbox version of this underrated 3D platformer<\/a> does come with the original game and its DLC included, so at least they won\u2019t have to worry about figuring out how to get the add-ons.<\/p>\n

New Super Lucky\u2019s Tale<\/em><\/strong> is available for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.<\/p>\n
