In 2004, the company released\u00a0<em>Pokemon FireRed<\/em> and\u00a0<em>LeafGreen<\/em> for the Game Boy Advance. Then five years later, it released\u00a0<em>Pokemon HeartGold<\/em> and\u00a0<em>SoulSilver<\/em> for the DS. And then five years after that, in 2014, it launched\u00a0<em>Omega Ruby<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Alpha Sapphire<\/em>. However, it&#8217;s been six years since those games, and no\u00a0<em><strong>Diamond<\/strong><\/em> and\u00a0<em><strong>Pearl<\/strong><\/em> remakes have been announced to date.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-diamond\/\"><em>Pokemon Diamond<\/em><\/a> and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/pokemon-pearl\/\"><em>Pearl<\/em><\/a> remakes seem like an inevitability, but it remains to be seen when the games will be available. Right now, Game Freak is busy working on the\u00a0<em>Crown Tundra<\/em> DLC for\u00a0<em>Pokemon Sword<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Shield<\/em>, which is expected to launch at some point later this year. However, rumors persist that the company is also busy working on\u00a0<em>Pokemon Diamond<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Pearl\u00a0<\/em>remakes, and now a new rumor claims to reveal when fans can expect those games, and a feature they will entail.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-diamond-and-pearl-red\/\">Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Was Supposed to Feature Red, But Not Like You Think<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>According to the rumor,\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-diamond-pearl-remake-names-leak-time-space\/\"><em>Pokemon Diamond<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Pearl<\/em> remakes<\/a> are expected to launch November 2021 for the Nintendo Switch. One look at the\u00a0<em>Pokemon<\/em> franchise&#8217;s release history in recent years makes this a pretty safe bet, and so if the games do exist, November 2021 does seem like one of the most likely release months. Meanwhile, the rumor also says that the\u00a0<em>Diamond<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Pearl<\/em> remakes will feature Gigantamaxing.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yR5_uUMZG3U?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-sword-shield-isle-of-armor-gigantamax-max-soup\/\">Gigantamaxing<\/a> is a relatively new feature in the\u00a0<em>Pokemon<\/em> franchise, introduced in 2019&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Pokemon Sword<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Shield<\/em>. Gigantamaxing allows Pokemon to temporarily transform into massive versions of themselves, but with some significant visual changes. If the rumor is to be believed, the\u00a0<em>Pokemon Diamond<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Pearl<\/em> remakes will be introducing Gigantamax forms for Claydol, Dragalge, Empoleon, Floatzel, Garchomp, Infernape, Luxray, Mantine, Mismagius, and Torterra.<\/p>\n<p>This rumor stems from 4chan, and so fans should take it with a massive grain of salt. Usually 4chan &#8220;leaks&#8221; would be immediately discredited, but there have been legitimate\u00a0<em>Pokemon<\/em> franchise leaks from the site in the past. In fact, virtually everything to do with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokemon-sword-and-shield-region-map-galar\/\"><em>Pokemon Sword<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Shield<\/em> leaked on 4chan<\/a>, with that poster prematurely revealing everything from the starter Pokemon designs to the Gigantamax feature and much more.<\/p>\n<p>If\u00a0<em>Pokemon Diamond<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Pearl<\/em> remakes are in development, then fans shouldn&#8217;t expect any official announcement until some point in 2021 at the earliest.
