Its biggest project right now in undoubtedly the\u00a0remake of the cult classic FPS\/RPG <em><strong>System Shock,<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0a long awaited title that will finally release this year after a tumultuous development <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/system-shock-remaster-kickstarter\/\">following its successful Kickstarter<\/a>. While it may be hard for fans hoping for firm release date, Nightdive is helping the wait by sharing a new look at some hacking goodness.<\/p>\n<p>Despite <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/system-shock-remake-dismemberment-system\/\">showing how gory the\u00a0<em>System Shock<\/em><\/a><i>\u00a0<\/i>remake\u00a0is going to be days ago, this new look shared by Nightdive is aiming to display the technological mind leaps players will embark upon. The &#8220;CYBERSPACE Preview&#8221; trailer explores how players will be traversing the trippy landscape\u00a0of computer networks in the\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/system-shock\/\">System Shock<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>remake.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/cyberpunk-games-best-worst\/\">5 Best Cyberpunk Games That Weren\u2019t Made By CD Projekt Red (&amp; 5 That Were Just Bad)<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Players of the original\u00a0title may remember these gameplay sections but Nightdive&#8217;s overhaul is completely unrecognizable from what it looked like in the original 1994 release. The vibrancy of colors with the pulsating music and frenetic movement capture the same sense of Cyberspace that has been a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/cyberpunk-2077-reasons-cyberpunk-matters\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">recurring theme\u00a0in the cyberpunk genre<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zKNAdGcZ2Q8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The gameplay preview demonstrates the bullet-hell traversal of the computer network\u00a0by the\u00a0player-controlled security hacker. It&#8217;s a full five-minute look at the gameplay section players will have to master if they wish to destroy crazed AI\u00a0Shodan. Watching the trailer indicates a very different level of movement when compared to the shooter gameplay of the <em>System Shock <\/em>remake. It&#8217;s about fast maneuvering and never stopping to fire the cybershield as the timer goes down.<\/p>\n<p>While Nightdive continues to show off more <em>System Shock<\/em> as its 2020 release approaches, the studio recently\u00a0provided new looks\u00a0at updated PC classics. Along with the new trailers for the\u00a0<em>System Shock\u00a0<\/em>remake, the developer also released three other trailers for upcoming remasters. The first is the remaster of developer Westwood&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/blade-runner-game-remaster\/\">c<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/blade-runner-game-remaster\/\">ult-classic PC adventure game <em>Blade Runner<\/em><\/a>, a spin-off of the film of the same name.\u00a0The other big trailer was the\u00a0second teaser\u00a0for\u00a0<em>Shadow Man: Remastered<\/em> while the last trailer was for the Switch port of <em>Strife: Veteran Edition<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>With Nightdive Studios heavy in both publishing and development, some are wondering if the remake of <em>System Shock<\/em> is going to hit its 2020 release.
