Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War<\/strong><\/em> had its Multiplayer reveal today showcasing tons of new game modes, features, and expectations for the upcoming title. On feature that fans were excited to see was the return of Gunsmith to Black Ops Cold War<\/em><\/a>‘s weapon customization.<\/p>\n

This fan-favorite feature has made a name for itself in Modern Warfare, <\/em>and now fans can expect the same level of detail and customization in the next game. Although there is still not a clear list of weapons in <\/a>Black Ops Cold War<\/a>, <\/em>it is still nice to know that the customization and weapon variants will still be included in the title.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The reveal put out a bold claim that Gunsmith, although returning, will be beyond anything seen in a Black Ops <\/em>game prior<\/a>. The developers revealed that there are up to 54 attachments per weapon with 8 attach points on every primary. Each of the attachments will have an impact on the weapon stats which offers a unique and deep customization experience. Unlike Modern Warfare, <\/em>this system will fully disclose exact percentage changes for all attachment slots.<\/p>\n

An overhaul of the Gunsmith system is not the only exciting fact that came from the reveal. Players learned that the Wildcard system that is used throughout the Black Ops <\/em>franchise will be returning. One of the wildcards described will allow for all 8 attachment slots to be filled at once on a single primary weapon for the first time in Call of Duty <\/em>history<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Gunsmith system is a fan-favorite feature<\/a> in Modern Warfare<\/em>,\u00a0<\/em>quickly spreading to the mobile Call of Duty <\/em>title due to sheer popularity. Fans love the ability to customize their primary and secondary weapons, giving the game a sense of personalization on the battlefield. In many ways, a good attachment build can become a more personal touch than any skin offered by developers.<\/p>\n

Knowing that the Gunsmith system<\/a> will be offered in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War <\/em>is a refreshing notion. Pair this with the knowledge that equipment earned in Warzone<\/em> will continue to carry over into the next iteration with Black Ops Cold War’s <\/em>launch<\/a>, and players have a very stunning picture of the game’s future. Still, there is much fans do not know about this system that requires a moment of pause in the midst of excitement. Whether or not fan-favorite attachments will be carried over, or even favorite weapons being carried over, will determine the overall impact of this beloved system.<\/p>\n

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War <\/strong><\/em>is set to release on November 13th for PC, Ps4, Ps5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.<\/p>\n
