The Nintendo Switch<\/strong> has been incredibly successful and many players are pleased with it. Equally, Fortnite<\/em> has a huge fan base<\/a> and has managed to carve out its own identity in the battle royale genre through its gameplay as well as its high-profile crossover events. With the achievements of both products in mind, it seems like it was only a matter of time before the two collaborated on a project.<\/p>\n

Mascots of Nintendo have been featured on products<\/a> previously, but now Fortnite<\/em> is collaborating with the Switch to launch its unique color scheme for the console. While the system won’t offer players anything new in terms of specifications, fans of Fortnite<\/em> may be tempted by the console. Likewise, those who would like to have the console in a different color may want to purchase it. There are also some special add-ons for Fortnite<\/em> fans in this themed edition of the Switch.<\/p>\n

The console has blue and yellow joy-cons and there is also a picture of the battle bus on the right-hand joy-con. This color scheme will likely impress fans alongside its subtle nods to Fortnite<\/em>. The new look for Nintendo Switch<\/a> may not sway some consumers but alongside this release are some intriguing pieces of content for Fortnite<\/em>. Consumers who pick up this version of the Switch will receive 2,000 V-bucks, which work out to $9.99 per 1,000. This will be a nice in-game bonus, particularly when it is accompanied by\u00a0the Wildcat bundle that gives players a new skin.<\/p>\n

Exclusive iterations of the Nintendo Switch<\/a> are usually a hit with fans and it will be interesting to see if this can be replicated alongside Fortnite<\/em>. The player base and commercial performance of the battle royale game suggests that this collaboration will be fruitful for all parties, but time will tell whether there is an audience for this colorful Switch console.<\/p>\n
