Ubisoft&#8217;s <em><strong>Hyper Scape<\/strong><\/em> is one of the newest entries in the genre, and though its <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/hyper-scape-twitch-views-fall-guys\/\">time on Twitch last month was overshadowed by <em>Fall Guys<\/em><\/a>, there are still plans to expand the experience while, apparently, paying respect to its predecessors.<\/p>\n<p>Reddit user imBrettValentine found one very pointed reference to Respawn Entertainment&#8217;s <em>Apex Legends<\/em>\u00a0through\u00a0a slip of paper saying &#8220;Mozambique Here!&#8221; hidden in <em>Hyper Scape<\/em>, and shared it with the r\/apexlegends subreddit yesterday. The <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/apex-legends-mozambique-underrated-overrated-gun\/\">Mozambique shotgun is considered one of the worst weapons in <em>Apex Legends<\/em><\/a>, leading to many players\u00a0creating memes about the frustrating experience of finding one during matches.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/mozambique-here-best-apex-legends-memes\/\">Mozambique Here: 10 Apex Legends Memes That Leave Us Cry-Laughing<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>It seems\u00a0<em>Hyper Scape<\/em> developers are in on this meme, given that shotgun does not exist in their game, and frankly it is nice to see them willing to reference the competition in a non-aggressive way. The massive maps that battle royale games set up are great places to hide content and references not every player will see or understand, though <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/fortnite-season-3-trailer-mortal-kombat-johnny-cage\/\"><em>Fortnite<\/em> has even referenced games like <em>Mortal Kombat<\/em><\/a> in its marketing material.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/apexlegends\/comments\/ipusuc\/mozambique_here_found_in_hyperscape\/?utm_source=share&#038;utm_medium=web2x&#038;context=3\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>During today&#8217;s Ubisoft Forward livestream event, a new limited-time game mode\u00a0in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/hyper-scape-turbo-mode\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Hyper Scape<\/em> called Turbo Mode was\u00a0announced for September 15<\/a>, promising a more extreme experience. Players in Turbo Mode will only find max-level loot and regenerate health faster, \u00a0while the zones constraining matches close faster and it&#8217;s easier to achieve crown victories \u2014 an alternate means of winning\u00a0rather than\u00a0eliminating every opponent.<\/p>\n<p>Respawn Entertainment has also been updating its popular battle royale with content regularly. <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/apex-legends-season-6-best-guns-weapon-tier-list\/\"><em>Apex Legends<\/em> recently began Season 6<\/a>, introducing a Legend named Rampart to headline the proceedings. However, the new character\u00a0has been particularly buggy, leading to a number of patches in recent weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Though <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/hyper-scape\/\"><em>Hyper Scape<\/em><\/a> has perhaps not been as big a smash hit for Ubisoft as its contemporaries in the battle royale genre, it&#8217;s good to see there are still plans to improve upon the base game for those fans that have latched on.
