It’s no secret that some of the best things in life are free, especially when it comes to gaming. Whether it’s free games through Xbox Live Games with Gold or receiving a free credit on one’s PSN account<\/a>, few would argue\u00a0against getting free stuff. Now it seems that Rockstar Energy wants to provide that feeling for players with its newest promotion giving away Xbox Live gift cards.<\/p>\n

Rockstar Energy has announced that players who purchase any of its limited edition\u00a0Cyberpunk 2077<\/em><\/strong> energy drinks from October 1 through December 31 will be able to redeem a code for a $1 Xbox gift card. While this may not sound like much, players will be able to redeem up to $60 worth of these codes, which would theoretically be enough to allow them to purchase\u00a0Cyberpunk 2077<\/em> through the Xbox Live store<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The promotion doesn’t end there, however. Those who purchase one of the five limited edition\u00a0Cyberpunk 2077\u00a0<\/em>Rockstar Energy<\/a> drinks will also gain issues in a three-part\u00a0exclusive digital comic series called “Where’s Johnny?” These codes will also give players entries for giveaways that feature many various\u00a0Cyberpunk 2077<\/em><\/a> themed merch, including hats, hoodies, SteelSeries wireless headsets, and the grand prize: a custom muscle car based on the game’s Quadra Type-66.<\/p>\n

This isn’t the first gaming promotion that Rockstar Energy has done. In fact, this\u00a0Cyberpunk 2077<\/em> promotion is but one of many that the energy drink brand has done over the last several years. This isn’t the first time its partnered with Xbox either, with Rockstar giving away exclusive weapon skins in\u00a0Gears 5<\/em><\/a> with the purchase of its drinks just last year.<\/p>\n

This promotion, while exciting for fans eagerly awaiting\u00a0Cyberpunk 2077<\/em>‘s release on November 19, is obviously extremely beneficial for Xbox players. CD Projekt Red and Xbox have been on seemingly great terms with each other throughout the game’s PR cycle, with Xbox typically getting preferential treatment when it comes to new announcements for games.\u00a0Xbox is even releasing a\u00a0Cyberpunk 2077<\/em> themed Xbox One X<\/a> despite the consoles being discontinued in favor of the upcoming Xbox Series X.<\/p>\n

Considering the pedigree of CD Projekt Red and the fact that players won’t be charged a premium to upgrade to the PS5\u00a0or Xbox Series X versions<\/a> of the game, it’s easy to see why\u00a0Cyberpunk 2077<\/em> is one of 2020’s most anticipated games. And with this promotion with Rockstar Energy starting next month, that excitement has seemingly gone through the roof.<\/p>\n

Cyberpunk 2077\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>will release on November 19 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with PS5, Stadia, and Xbox Series X versions currently in development.<\/p>\n
