Attempts to visit his channel on Twitch now will result in an error stating that the content is unavailable.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/twitch-nairo-ban\/\">Twitch Bans Super Smash Bros. Champion Nairo<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Many are surprised to see this ban come so soon after Leafy&#8217;s permanent ban from YouTube in August. There is no official statement from Twitch regarding this ban and its reasoning, but according to Rod &#8220;Slasher&#8221; Breslau, the ban is permanent.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Leafy\/status\/1304553294853963782\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Earlier in the day before the Twitch ban took place, Leafy posted a tweet that can be seen above detailing his first strike in an email from Twitch. Considering that the content that Leafy is known for being based around\u00a0what can be considered hateful commentary on others, it likely\u00a0won&#8217;t\u00a0surprise some that Twitch would give him a strike for what was outlined. It should also be considered that the reason for Leafy&#8217;s ban from YouTube was because of <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/pokimane-twitch-return-date\/\">comments made about a Twitch streamer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>With how many people have been <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/twitch-bans-2020-dr-disrespect-zero-amouranth\/\">banned from Twitch in 2020<\/a> alone, Leafy&#8217;s quick ban isn&#8217;t a huge surprise. Even when Leafy first moved to Twitch, other content creators and Twitch viewers weren&#8217;t sure about how he could be allowed on the platform due to his history of harassment. Twitch&#8217;s rules can also ban users for activity that occurs off-site which includes &#8220;hateful conduct and harassment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>While Twitch hasn&#8217;t put out a public statement on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/leafy-youtube-channel-terminated-cyberbullying\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">why Leafy has been banned<\/a>, as per\u00a0its own policy, it is very likely that Leafy&#8217;s off-site history led to his permanent ban. Leafy&#8217;s link to his Twitch channel remains in his official Twitter bio, making it likely that Leafy will try and contest the ban to get his channel back. On Twitter however, he has stated in tweet replies that he has no clue if he can overcome it.<\/p>\n<p>If <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/darksydephil-and-other-notorious-twitch-bans\/\">Twitch doesn&#8217;t lift the ban<\/a> on Leafy&#8217;s channel, it is unknown where the content creator will go next and if there are any places nearly as popular as YouTube or Twitch left.
