With the recent release of the hit slash-em up Ghost of Tsushima<\/i><\/a>, the final ever PlayStation 4 exclusive has come and gone. Though it\u2019s the end of an era, there are a ton of PS5 exclusives to look forward to, and until then there are several exclusives that can keep you occupied all the way through to\u00a0the new generation\u2019s\u00a0arrival in November.<\/p>\n

Alternatively, there are some extremely short exclusives that players can zip through in an afternoon, and possibly even a lunch break! Here are the five longest PS4 exclusives, and the five shortest, that were released in this era of Sony video games.<\/p>\n

10 <\/span>Longest: Final Fantasy XV<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

It isn\u2019t hard to believe that a Final Fantasy<\/a><\/em> game is one of the longest games of the console\u2019s generation. Though the series didn\u2019t begin on PlayStation consoles, as the franchise dates backs to the 1980s, the Final Fantasy<\/i> name is synonymous with the game console and is a staple of the PlayStation history timeline. The series is best known for being challenging, having complex RPG gameplay, and being really, really\u00a0long. Final Fantasy 15<\/i> has one of the biggest open worlds in a game<\/a>, there are so many encounters<\/a> that players might not have found yet, and though the main story will rack up about 30 hours of gameplay, to 100%\u00a0complete it could take up to 90 hours.<\/p>\n

9 <\/span>Shortest:\u00a0Infamous: First Light<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Though InFAMOUS: First Light<\/i> is technically DLC of it\u2019s predecessor, InFAMOUS: Second Son<\/i><\/a>, it is a completely standalone game with a new protagonist and an almost totally\u00a0unrelated story, and it even has it\u2019s own subtitle. A full play through of First Light<\/em> will only take around four hours, and there are few collectibles or any other\u00a0reason to return to when completed. However, the game is more streamlined and focused than Second Son<\/i>, and though that game was named one of the best of 2014<\/a>, First Light<\/i> is arguably better.<\/p>\n

8 <\/span>Longest: Bloodborne<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Bloodborne<\/i><\/a> is not only one of the longest PlayStation exclusives, but it is one of the longest\u00a0action horror games of all time too. If players like being terrified for around 80 hours at a time, then Bloodborne<\/i> is perfect. The game\u00a0isn\u2019t just an action horror, it is thought provoking, has a hauntingly beautiful score, and is so satisfying in its combat.<\/p>\n

What makes Bloodborne<\/i> maybe even longer than necessary is the game\u2019s insufferable difficulty. The game has some of the hardest levels<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0any PlayStation exclusive title and the game is utterly\u00a0unapologetic.<\/p>\n

7 <\/span>Shortest: Shadow Of The Beast<\/h2>\n

With the advancement of technology and the perpetual progress of gaming graphics, remakes have become increasingly popular this generation, and one of the most out-of-the-blue and under-the-radar remakes was Shadow of the Beast<\/i>. As The original Shadow of the Beast,\u00a0<\/i>released on the Amiga in the late 80s andwas only around 40 minutes long to begin with, there wasn\u2019t much to expand upon in the first place, but this remake clocks in at less than three hours long with only six levels.<\/p>\n

6 <\/span>Longest: Days Gone<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Days Gone<\/i><\/a> might just be the most stereotypical survival game there has ever been, as it takes place in a post-apocalyptic Oregon where NPC\u2019s are turning into zombies and the protagonist is a denim clad Mad Max type biker. Oh, and his wife was mysteriously killed for good measure.<\/p>\n

Fully completing Days Gone<\/i> could take players\u00a0up to 90 hours, and even a gamer\u00a0who isn\u2019t a completionist could spend an easy 40 hours on the game. Though it might be\u00a0long in the tooth without much variety in gameplay, Days Gone<\/i> is regarded as having one of the best video game stories in 2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

5 <\/span>Shortest: Erica<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

In Erica<\/i>, players make there own decisions and every choice they\u00a0make has consequences. It is immersive as hell and it looks like a movie, but\u00a0with a play through\u00a0of just two and half hours, it really is more like an interactive film than a video game. Though it\u2019s short, there is a huge replay-ability factor with Erica<\/i> because there are so many different decisions the player can make, which leads to severely different outcomes.<\/p>\n

4 <\/span>Longest: Nioh 2<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Nioh 2<\/em><\/a> is another game that is unforgiving towards players, and the reason why it can take over 100 hours to 100% complete the game might have\u00a0something to do with constantly dying. With similarities to Bloodborne<\/i> not just in its gameplay and combat, Nioh 2<\/i> is another game that is a tough but satisfying play through. And there are tons of fun secrets and hidden details<\/a>, many of which players still haven\u2019t discovered yet.<\/p>\n

3 <\/span>Shortest: The Inpatient<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Survival horror games have a tendency to be short, as overdoing the same horror trope over and over might saturate how scary the game is. VR games are also commonly shorter than the average video game, mostly to keep gamers from getting motion sickness. As The Inpatient<\/i><\/a> is both a survival horror and<\/i> a VR game, it almost makes sense that it clocks in at just three hours long, and it was also the reason why it was one of the most anticipated games of 2018<\/a>. Being a prequel to the more popular Until Dawn<\/a>, The Inpatien<\/i>t unsurprisingly packs in a lot of frights in its short play through time.<\/p>\n

2 <\/span>Longest: Gran Turismo Sport<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

Racing games can rack up dozens of hours of\u00a0players\u2019 due to being\u00a0endlessly replayable, but the replay-ability doesn\u2019t factor in to why gamers have spent hundreds<\/i> of hours playing Gran Turismo Sport<\/a>. <\/i>Love it or hate it<\/a>, Gran Turismo Spor<\/i>t is one of the most realistic racing games there is on the PlayStation, and in reality, racing isn\u2019t easy. There almost aren\u2019t enough hours in the day, days in the week, or weeks in the month to complete GTS<\/i>, as it can take a casual gamer 200 hours!<\/p>\n

1 <\/span>Shortest: P.T.<\/h2>\n
<\/figure>\n

P.T.<\/i> was originally dubbed as a very long teaser for a new Silent Hill<\/i><\/a> game that was a meeting of the minds between Hideo Kojima and the celebrated filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro (known for Pan\u2019s Labyrinth<\/i> and Hellboy<\/i>). However, the game was subsequently cancelled and P.T.<\/i> is all that exists of what could have been a magnificent reboot of the Silent Hill<\/i> franchise. P.T.<\/i> Is now seen as a full game, and though it only lasts for two hours, it is extraordinary, terrifying, and fun all at the same time.<\/p>\n
