Perhaps the biggest gripe that people have had with EA and Final Strike Games\u2019 team-based shooter Rocket Arena<\/em><\/strong> is the fact that Rocket Arena<\/em> isn\u2019t free-to-play<\/a>\u2026 most of the time. Thanks to Amazon Prime Gaming, one can now get their hands on the game at no cost.<\/p>\n

While many who\u2019ve played the game believe Rocket Arena<\/em> has the potential to be the next great multiplayer shooter, its price tag has been holding it back considerably. The game originally launched back in July for $29.99, which was a massive turn-off for a lot of would-be players. EA has since cut Rocket Arena<\/em>\u2019s price down considerably to just $4.99<\/a>, but it goes without saying that most would prefer to not pay anything if possible.<\/p>\n

It is possible now, but only for a limited time. In addition to Amazon Prime Gaming\u2019s other free games this month<\/a>, Prime Gaming members can also claim a code for a free copy of Rocket Arena<\/em>\u2019s Standard Edition, so long as they have an EA Origin account as well (the offer doesn\u2019t extend to the game\u2019s Steam or console versions, unfortunately). This deal will only be available until October 10, and the code will only be redeemable until November 9.<\/p>\n

EA has been taking a few noticeable steps towards making the game available for free, including hosting a free-to-play weekend for Rocket Arena<\/em><\/a> and making the game free to EA Access members. These aren\u2019t bad steps, but with all of the many popular free-to-play shooters these days, they might not be enough to build up a solid playerbase. At this point, the best course of action may be to just make the game fully free-to-play on all platforms, as the fans have been asking.<\/p>\n

Rocket Arena<\/em><\/strong> is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.<\/p>\n
