And now Nintendo has released a new video showing off a taste of the gameplay players can experience later this week.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0the newest Nintendo Minute video, hosts Kit Ellis and Krysta Yang showcase new gameplay of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/super-mario-3d-all-stars\/\"><em>Super Mario 3D All-Stars<\/em><\/a> while taking a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about playing the 3 classic <em>Mario<\/em> titles when they originally released.\u00a0 The 8-minute long video primarily shows gameplay that was originally shown during the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-mario-3d-all-stars-collection-switch-release-date-trailer\/\"><em>Super Mario 3D All-Stars<\/em> reveal trailer<\/a>, however, it does show some new sections of the games, such as climbing as Bee Mario in\u00a0<em>Super Mario Galaxy<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-mario-3d-all-stars-buy-pre-order-release-date\/\">Everything You Need to Know Before Buying Super Mario 3D All-Stars<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>While the new gameplay in this video may be small in comparison to the amount of commentary and\u00a0footage that was previously revealed, that doesn&#8217;t mean\u00a0Nintendo doesn&#8217;t have confidence in its collection. In fact,\u00a0<em>Super Mario 3D All-Stars\u00a0<\/em>is already ahead of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-mario-3d-all-stars-amazon\/\"><em>The Last of Us 2<\/em> on the Amazon Best Sellers List for 2020<\/a>, despite the collection not releasing until next week. The 3 Mario games included in the collection are widely considered to be classics among players, so it makes sense that it probably doesn&#8217;t feel the need to show a ton of new gameplay.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NV0SOT9dYrw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>However, there&#8217;s one part of the gameplay shown in this video that is rather odd. During the section for\u00a0<em>Super Mario Sunshine<\/em>, players can very clearly see that the button prompt to use F.L.U.D.D. is not the X button found on either the Joy Con or the Switch Pro controller, but the X button for the GameCube controller.<\/p>\n<p>While\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/mario-64-sunshine-gameplay-switch\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Super Mario Sunshine<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>did originally debut on the GameCube, according to the official Nintendo Japan website,\u00a0<em>Super Mario 3D All-Stars\u00a0<\/em>does not support the Nintendo Switch GameCube controller.\u00a0This lack of change likely wouldn&#8217;t be a big deal, however, players can very clearly see the Nintendo Switch&#8217;s + button as the prompt to start\u00a0<em>Super Mario 64\u00a0<\/em>in the footage.<\/p>\n<p>This could likely feed into the many <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-mario-3d-stars-collection-controversy-explained\/\">controversies surrounding\u00a0<em>Super Mario 3D All-Stars<\/em><\/a> where some players have described the collection as &#8220;a bunch of lazy ports.&#8221; These claims alongside\u00a0other facts such as the game having a limited sale window (including the digital edition), the notable absence of\u00a0<em>Super Mario Galaxy 2<\/em>, and it being sold as a full-priced game, is enough to make most people give pause.
