It\u2019s become a fairly frequent occurrence for random games on the Nintendo eShop to drop their price to below $1<\/a>. This has been a gift for frugal gamers interested in trying out games they might have never heard of otherwise, and that gift keeps on giving with the news that the Switch version of Flashback<\/em><\/strong> is now on sale.<\/p>\n

As the game\u2019s updated eShop listing reveals, the classic sci-fi action-adventure game is going for just $0.99, which is a huge discount from its regular $20 price tag. It\u2019s not immediately clear how long this Switch eShop sale<\/a> will last, meaning anyone interested should act fast, just in case. On the plus side, the game only takes 455MB of storage space, so most Switch owners shouldn\u2019t have to worry about trying to squeeze the game onto their Switch or MicroSD cards.<\/p>\n

While most of the eShop games that get these super-discounts are relatively recent titles, Flashback<\/em><\/a> was originally released back in 1992 by French developer Delphine Software. The game tells a story set in the year 2142 that follows amnesiac scientist Conrad B. Hart, who must avoid all sorts of dangers to escape the colony on Saturn\u2019s moon Titan and find a way back to Earth. It\u2019s widely considered a landmark game for its then-innovative animation and sci-fi storytelling, as well as a key milestone in the history of French game development.<\/p>\n
