There have been more than a fair number of rumors saying that Nintendo may be making a Switch Pro or a Switch with 4K capability<\/a>. But in the past week or so, even more rumors and teases\u00a0have started cropping up. But whereas previous teases or rumors have stemmed from second-hand sources, this one comes from a developer.<\/p>\n

Some of the reports of Nintendo making a 4K-capable Switch have come from trust-worthy sources at Bloomberg, with its most recent report claiming that Nintendo has been asking developers to make their games 4K-ready<\/a>. It sounds like Nintendo may be planning on releasing a more powerful Switch so as to not be completely left in the graphical dust that the impending PS5 and Xbox Series S & X could leave it in.<\/p>\n

A new tip suggesting this possibility comes by way of developer FDG Entertainment, developer and publisher of Monster Boy and The Cursed Kingdom<\/em>. Recently, the company recently confirmed that the side-scrolling platformer will receive an update for the game to support 4K and 120FPS on next-gen consoles<\/a>. Naturally, this led to some jealousy from Switch fans, like Twitter user @ninjacape. FDG responded, surprisingly, with a tweet that has led to much speculation:<\/p>\n
