In anticipation of the upcoming\u00a0<em>Super Mario 3D All-Stars<\/em> release date, Nintendo has released a new overview trailer that details all three games included in the collection.<\/p>\n<p>The trailer doesn&#8217;t really offer any new information, but it does a good job of highlighting the unique features in each of the three\u00a0<em>Super Mario<\/em> games included. It details\u00a0<em>Super Mario 64<\/em>&#8216;s innovative 3D platforming gameplay, while also touching on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/super-mario-sunshine-fludd-better-worse\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Super Mario Sunshine<\/em> FLUDD mechanic<\/a>.\u00a0When it gets to\u00a0<em>Super Mario Galaxy<\/em>, the trailer is sure to note that the game has an optional co-op mode of sorts where the second player can assist Mario by stunning enemies and collecting star bits.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-mario-3d-stars-main-menu\/\">Super Mario 3D All-Stars Reveals Main Menu Screen<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/super-mario-3d-all-stars\/\"><em>Super Mario 3D All-Stars<\/em><\/a> overview\u00a0trailer also details the improvements made to the three games in the collection. This includes a higher resolution for all three games so that they look good on HD television sets, 16:9 screen ratio, and the music player mode that lets players listen to each of the games&#8217; soundtracks.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/N5wSl88EO3Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The trailer doesn&#8217;t mention the one big gameplay change being made to\u00a0<em>Super Mario Galaxy<\/em> as part of the\u00a0<em>3D All-Stars<\/em> collection. For the uninitiated,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-mario-galaxy-switch-lite-motion-controls\/\"><em>Super Mario Galaxy<\/em>&#8216;s motion controls<\/a> are optional in\u00a0<em>3D All-Stars<\/em>, which will ensure that the game is playable on Switch Lite consoles. How exactly this will work has not been detailed by Nintendo, but fans will find out when they get their hands on the collection on September 18.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, some\u00a0<em>Super Mario<\/em> fans may be holding out hope that\u00a0<em>3D All-Stars<\/em> has some other improvements in store. For example,\u00a0there are those that want to see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-mario-sunshine-switch-invert-camera-3d-all-stars\/\"><em>Super Mario Sunshine<\/em>&#8216;s inverted camera<\/a> made optional. Unfortunately, it seems as though these games are more or less just straight ports to the Switch, and so it&#8217;s unclear if more camera control options are being added to\u00a0<em>Super Mario Sunshine<\/em> or not.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s possible that <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/nintendo-preparing-new-direct-soon\/\">Nintendo has some surprises in store<\/a> when it comes to\u00a0<em>Super Mario 3D All-Stars<\/em>, but then again, this kind of overview trailer could be to keep fan expectations in check. It gives players a rundown of what they should expect from the game so they don&#8217;t go into it expecting any significantly improved graphics or new gameplay features.
