Super Mario 3D All-Stars\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>has quickly become one of the most highly anticipated titles released on Nintendo Switch. Ever since its initial announcement, many in the gaming community have been excited for the release of\u00a0Super Mario 3D All-Stars<\/a><\/em>, but questions regarding how well some aspects of the gameplay will translate to the mechanics of the Switch have begun to surface. Luckily, Nintendo has promptly addressed these concerns in a short little gameplay clip.<\/p>\n

Both\u00a0Super Mario 64\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Super Mario Sunshine\u00a0<\/em>are both easy to port to the Switch in terms of overall game mechanics. However,\u00a0Super Mario Galaxy<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>is a whole other story considering that it was initially released on the Wii and heavily relied on motion control mechanics throughout various parts of the game. While the Switch does feature motion control support, this leads to a rather big problem, considering that\u00a0all of the games need to be playable in handheld mode as well.<\/p>\n

Many console owners were quick to point out that\u00a0Galaxy\u00a0<\/a><\/em>may not work on Nintendo Switch Lites, due to its reliance on motion controls.<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>This is a genuine concern for Nintendo Switch Lite owners who want to experience Super Mario 3D All-Stars\u00a0<\/em>on their console of choice. Though, thankfully, Nintendo has found a way to work around this problem.<\/p>\n

Using the touch screen controls featured in the Nintendo Switch, the developers have allowed players to play\u00a0Galaxy\u00a0<\/em>in handheld mode without the use of motion controls. To collect or shoot star bits, the player just has to touch the screen and draw across it with their finger. This will allow so many players to enjoy\u00a0Galaxy\u00a0<\/em>however they want when\u00a0Super Mario 3D All-Stars\u00a0<\/a><\/em>releases on September 18th.<\/a><\/p>\n
