As\u00a0Destiny 2\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>begins to wrap up its longest season yet in time for the upcoming\u00a0Beyond Light\u00a0<\/em>extension, players are scrambling to complete their weekly quests in time for the turnover. While some players are running through the weekly raids to collect the loot they need,<\/a>\u00a0others are rushing\u00a0to complete their lore book collections in time for\u00a0Destiny\u00a0<\/em>2<\/em>‘s next sprawling storyline.\u00a0However, due to the limitations of some weekly missions, players are discovering that they may never catch up in time.<\/p>\n

When\u00a0Destiny 2<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>players collect every entry from all\u00a010 of the required\u00a0lore books, they can earn the Chronicler title, which comes with a special seal and username tag. However, because the number of entries per mission can range from 10 to 25, completing the mission can take weeks to complete. One of the most demanding obstacles in collecting the Chronicler’s seal is the Truth to Power lore book, which has 11 lore book entries to collect. However, players can only acquire this lore\u00a0once a week per account. To make matters more difficult, players can only add to the lore book on weeks where the Dreaming City’s curse<\/a> is in full effect, making them run the mission\u00a0once every three weeks.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, Bungie will be removing\u00a0the Chronicler title<\/a> at the end of the Season of Arrivals. Following this announcement, several players\u00a0immediately realized\u00a0that the Truth to Power lore book’s\u00a0time-consuming run will make it impossible for them to earn the title in time for its departure to the\u00a0Destiny\u00a0<\/em>Content Vault.<\/p>\n

Although several fans on Twitter and Reddit have called for Bungie to remove the Truth to Power requirement, Bungie’s Community Manager dmg04 stated on Twitter that Bungie would not be changing the Truth to Power<\/a> ritual to make it easier for players to earn lore, or be removing the requirement from the Chronicler title, stating that it would end up remaining “out of arms’ reach” for those unlucky players. Moving forward, dmg04 promised that Bungie would improve communication with\u00a0players on when it planned to sunset certain parts\u00a0of\u00a0Destiny<\/em> 2.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
