In the comparison video, it&#8217;s made quite clear that the game&#8217;s textures have been heavily improved and smoothed out due to the game&#8217;s up-scaled resolution. Everything looks significantly more clear, with the game&#8217;s original blurriness seemingly gone entirely.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-mario-3d-all-stars-reviews-roundup\/\">Super Mario 3D All-Stars Review Roundup<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Next, <em>Super Mario Sunshine<\/em> gets a direct comparison between the GameCube version and the new Switch remaster. This game benefits not only from up-scaled graphics, but also from\u00a0widescreen support that\u00a0greatly increases the player&#8217;s field of view. The game, like <em>Mario 64<\/em>, has better clarity due to its\u00a0higher resolution, and everything being\u00a0nicer to look at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/mario-64-sunshine-gameplay-switch\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">makes this a big one-up over the original game<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"480\" height=\"270\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/b1cyMcVmrwI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Finally, the video looks at\u00a0<em>Super Mario Galaxy<\/em>. This title perhaps benefits the most from the graphical improvements, with the title originally feeling a little held back by the Wii&#8217;s hardware at the time of its release. <em>Galaxy<\/em>, now able to fully embrace an <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-mario-galaxy-switch-lite-motion-controls\/\">HD resolution and new controls<\/a>,\u00a0lacks any jagged edges that some feel plagued the original game.<\/p>\n<p>While it&#8217;s overall a bit of a shame that<em> Super Mario 64<\/em>\u00a0will\u00a0not receive true widescreen support in this collection, <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/super-mario-3d-all-stars-gameplay\/\">the graphical and gameplay improvements are still significant<\/a>. It&#8217;s nice to see both <em>Sunshine<\/em> and <em>Galaxy<\/em> in true HD for the first time ever, and both of their improved graphics are noticeable based on this video.<\/p>\n<p>Some\u00a0fans are unhappy that these re-releases are mostly emulated on console and not true ports, but regardless it seems that many\u00a0are still very excited for this new collection. Releasing Friday, <em>Super Mario 3D All-Stars<\/em> was announced during <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/nintendo-switch-2020-mario-35th-anniversary-direct\/\">the <em>Super Mario<\/em>\u00a035th Anniversary Direct earlier this month<\/a>,\u00a0meant to help celebrate\u00a0the red plumber&#8217;s 35th year since his series&#8217; inception on the NES.<\/p>\n<p>Many fans have speculated that the release of this collection <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/legend-of-zelda-2021-anniversary-super-mario\/\">means big things for Link and the<em>\u00a0Legend of Zelda<\/em> franchise in 2021<\/a>, given it turns 35 next year, with many theories already starting to pop up online.
