Both Final Fantasy 7<\/strong><\/em> and Final Fantasy 8<\/strong><\/em> have loyal followings with fans believing that they are some of the best games in the JRPG genre<\/a>. Both games aim to tell epic stories that infuse fantasy with turn-based action. For fans of this more traditional Final Fantasy<\/em> format, this would be an ideal bundle as they have similar qualities despite being set in different universes. A leak from a European retailer now suggests that this bundle will arrive in western markets for the Nintendo Switch.<\/p>\n

The critically acclaimed Final Fantasy<\/em> games<\/a> have already been offered as a remastered bundle in their native Japan and because of this, the leak appears to have more validity. The listing has been posted by two retailers (The Console Club and Game Explorers) and the information is consistent across both sites. Due to these listings, many fans are hoping that more information about this bundle will come to light in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

Both sites note that the Final Fantasy<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>Bundle will be released on November 6 with a price tag of around $45. Other than an image of the packaging there isn’t too much information about how the bundle will be delivered or whether it will include extras. However, fans will be intrigued by these listings from legitimate gaming sites. If the games are set to be released in the coming months, then Nintendo and Square Enix will likely start promoting the bundle very soon. After all, the remasters of two widely beloved games is likely worth advertising, particularly if this bundle is only available on one platform.<\/p>\n

Nintendo has used events to promote retro games of late, with the latest Nintendo Direct Mini<\/a> featuring the likes of Donkey Kong<\/span> Country<\/span><\/em> 2. This package may be part of a similar event in the future but is also worth noting that these games can be purchased separately on most consoles. With that in mind, the bundle probably won’t sway too many consumers in terms of what console they choose, but fans of the Switch will likely be happy that they can begin playing two lengthy JRPG games in one package.<\/span><\/p>\n

Having two Final Fantasy<\/em> games in one place will excite a lot of players, particularly those who prefer the original Final Fantasy 7<\/em><\/a>\u00a0to its recent remake. However, for those who do not own a Switch, the games are available in their remastered forms through separate purchases and they shouldn’t be too expensive.<\/p>\n
