While fans of the web animated series\u00a0RWBY\u00a0<\/em>no doubt loved to see some of its characters appear in crossover fighting game\u00a0BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle,\u00a0<\/em>there has most likely been a demand for Arc System Works<\/strong>, which is responsible for such stylish titles like\u00a0Dragon Ball FighterZ\u00a0<\/em>and the upcoming\u00a0<\/a>Guilty Gear Strive<\/em><\/a>, to make a dedicated\u00a0RWBY\u00a0<\/em>game.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, that appears to now be the case. Announced during\u00a0Rooster Teeth’s virtual RTX at Home event, the two companies confirmed that they are collaborating once more on an all-new\u00a0RWBY\u00a0<\/em>video game, with WayForward, the studio behind the\u00a0Shantae\u00a0<\/em>series and River City Girls<\/a><\/em>, developing and co-publishing alongside Arc System Works.<\/p>\n

So far, we don’t really have any details aside from that the game will release on multiple platforms, including PC, and is scheduled for a 2021 launch. According to the official announcement, players will be able to take control of the four members of Team RWBY – Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang – and “use their trademark weapons and abilities to deliver […] stylish action.” It will also feature an original story from the show’s writers.<\/p>\n
