Rumors have been swirling for months that the PlayStation 4 exclusive game\u00a0Bloodborne<\/strong><\/em> is set to get a PS5 remaster. While nothing official has been announced to date, a listing by a French retailer may be more evidence that a\u00a0Bloodborne<\/em><\/a> remaster is indeed in the works.<\/p>\n

French retailer Fnac, who accurately leaked the PS5 pre-order date<\/a>, had a listing for an unannounced\u00a0Bloodborne<\/em> PS5 game. Mention of the game has since been removed, and it’s entirely possible that it was listed by mistake. But since Fnac accurately leaked the PS5 pre-order date, fans are paying a bit more attention to this “leak” than they would otherwise.<\/p>\n

This is far from the first time that we’ve heard of a potential\u00a0Bloodborne<\/em> PS5 remaster. Earlier this summer, rumors and leaks pointed to not only a\u00a0Bloodborne<\/em> PC port<\/a>, but an upgraded\u00a0Bloodborne<\/em> on PS5. Whether or not there’s any truth to that remains to be seen, but this Fnac listing could very well be taken as further evidence that the critically-acclaimed PS4 exclusive is indeed making its way to the PS5 at some point down the line.<\/p>\n

Technically,\u00a0Bloodborne<\/em> will be playable on the PS5 at launch, just not in the form of an upgraded port. While fans wait for news on the\u00a0Bloodborne<\/em> PS5 remaster<\/a>, they can play the game on their system through the system’s backward compatibility program. Not only that, but even some PlayStation gamers who don’t own\u00a0Bloodborne<\/em> could very well get the chance to play through the game on day one for PS5.<\/p>\n

As it so happens,\u00a0Bloodborne<\/em> is part of the PlayStation Plus Collection program<\/a>. For the uninitiated, Sony is making a big change to PlayStation Plus with PS5, giving PS Plus subscribers on PS5 access to some of the PS4’s biggest exclusive games. So it should be fairly easy for PS5 gamers to play\u00a0Bloodborne<\/em> on the new system, regardless of whether or not the rumored remaster exists.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, some fans may be more interested in hearing about a potential\u00a0Bloodborne 2<\/em><\/a>. If\u00a0Bloodborne 2<\/em> does exist, it’s unlikely to be seen anytime soon. Right now, From Software is busy developing\u00a0Elden Ring<\/em> with George R.R. Martin, and so a potential\u00a0Bloodborne<\/em> sequel will have to wait. Fans of From Software’s work will be able to play the\u00a0Demon’s Souls<\/em> remake at launch, though, with the remake being handled by\u00a0Shadow of the Colossus<\/em> remake studio Bluepoint Games.<\/p>\n

Bloodborne<\/strong><\/em> is out now for PS4.<\/p>\n
