Players\u00a0who may have expected to see new content in light of its\u00a0unexpected extension are currently\u00a0seeing the\u00a0removal\u00a0of content instead.<\/p>\n<p>As per Bungie Help&#8217;s Twitter account, clans in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/destiny-2\"><em>Destiny 2<\/em><\/a>\u00a0&#8220;can no longer gain XP and Hawthorne&#8217;s Weekly Challenge can no longer be completed.&#8221; This change will remain in effect for the\u00a0duration\u00a0of the Season of Arrivals, which is currently set to end\u00a0November 10.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/destiny-taken-king-anniversary-beyond-light\/\">Destiny&#8217;s Taken King Expansion Was a Game-Changing Moment for the Series<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Some fans are upset at the sudden program change given there are still about two months remaining in the current season. Due to the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/destiny-2-beyond-light-delay-good\/\">new Beyond Light expansion being delayed<\/a>,\u00a0<em>Destiny<\/em>&#8216;s Season of Arrivals was unexpectedly extended into what will now be a five-month-long season. Many were unhappy about the\u00a0delayed content, but people were\u00a0ready to take advantage of the extra time in a variety of ways. However, those\u00a0who were hoping to use this extra time to grind XP with their Clans can no longer take on this task.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BungieHelp\/status\/1306664522858414082\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The decision to disable Clan Experience and Hawthorn&#8217;s Weekly Challenge, another means of earning Clan Experience, effectively renders <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/destiny-2-how-to-join-clain-newbie-guide\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Clan efforts in\u00a0<em>Destiny 2<\/em><\/a>\u00a0pointless for the rest of the season. Clans can still\u00a0adventure together, but a lack of Clan XP-gain means that players\u00a0basically have to sit idle and watch their Clan Ranks do the same until November 10.<\/p>\n<p>Bungie Help claims that their &#8220;investigation found that trying to fix these issues could result in all Clans losing their earned ranks,&#8221; so to prevent Clans from losing their hard work, Bungie hit the pause button. This way, Clans can at least benefit from the work they&#8217;ve managed to put in thus far, even if it means having to sit on their hands for another few weeks. Fans are expecting <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/destiny-2-everything-leaving-beyond-light\/\">four planets to be vaulted come November<\/a>, so there is already a restriction set on what many can focus on for the future.<\/p>\n<p>Dedicated Guardians\u00a0have been\u00a0quick to voice their grievances on Twitter, with players urging Bungie to take a more proactive stance against their in-game bugs.
