The classic Freedom Fighters has been given a new rating by PEGI.<\/p>\n

The Pan European Game Information office has re-rated the PC version of Freedom Fighters<\/strong>, IO Interactive’s classic third-person shooter. Today’s PC rating joins the existing ones for PS2, Xbox, GameCube and the original PC release.<\/p>\n

PEGI’s official website<\/a> also has the game listed for release today, with the biggest notable change being IO Interactive as the publisher, and not EA as with the existing ratings. The rating itself has not changed, however; this is still a PEGI-16 game.<\/p>\n

In 2017, when publisher Square Enix dropped IO Interactive<\/a>, the developer became independent<\/a> shortly afterwards, and announced that it had acquired the rights to Hitman and Freedom Fighters<\/a> from its former owner.<\/p>\n
