As it turns out, no. According to Bloomberg, Xbox head Phil Spencer has clarified that the company intends to honor the exclusivity\u00a0commitments, meaning so far that nothing is changing in regard to\u00a0<em>Deathloop\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Ghostwire: Tokyo<\/em>&#8216;s releases. This likely also extends to the <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/doom-eternal-switch-port-soon\/\">Switch release for <em>Doom Eternal<\/em><\/a>, which is still being worked on.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"320\" height=\"320\" frameborder=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jasonschreier\/status\/1308062702905044993\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>As for future <a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tag\/bethesda\/\">Bethesda<\/a> releases, they will most definitely release on Xbox and PC, but apparently they could come to other platforms on a &#8220;case by case basis.&#8221; This\u00a0isn&#8217;t too surprising to hear; Microsoft has shown to be willing to allow certain exclusives to\u00a0release on other consoles, with maybe the most notable examples being <em>Minecraft<\/em> and the two\u00a0<em>Ori\u00a0<\/em>games, with\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/ori-will-wisps-surprise-switch-collector-edition\/\">Ori and the Will of the Wisps<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>very recently being released for the Nintendo Switch.<\/p>\n<p>However, this is already leading to debates about whether Bethesda&#8217;s biggest franchises are now locked to the Xbox. For example,\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegamer.com\/rumor-elder-scrolls-6-release-2024-focus-ship-travel\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Elder Scrolls 6<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>was announced in 2018, but no release platforms were confirmed. Given the popularity of the series, some fans think the game will still release on PlayStation, as keeping it only on Xbox and PC could be an unpopular move on Microsoft&#8217;s part.<\/p>\n<p>But others have pointed out that it seems ridiculous for Microsoft to acquire Bethesda and not have its biggest and popular titles and franchises as Xbox exclusives. At the moment, the Xbox Series X is notably lacking in exclusives, with Sony having plenty to encourage people to purchase a PS5, such as\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/spider-man-miles-morales-brian-bendis-ps5\/\">Spider-Man: Miles Morales<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Horizon Forbidden West<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>A new <em>Elder Scrolls<\/em> or <em>Fallout<\/em> game appearing as an Xbox console exclusive could be what Microsoft needs to\u00a0convince an audience to invest in\u00a0its consoles over the PS5.
