The things that catch the eyes of most when starting up their Nintendo Switches are the various icons for the games inside a player’s library. These serve as a virtual game cover of sorts with some being more appealing than others.<\/p>\n

In order to decide which game released for the Switch this year has the best icon, fans have started a vote. On the website Switch Icon Showdown,\u00a0fans are given two icons of Switch titles and need to click on the one they find more appealing.<\/p>\n

The icons available for picking aren’t limited to first-party or second-party Nintendo<\/a> titles. Every game available on the platform is available for vote. These votes aren’t meant to reflect the quality of the games and are only meant to judge the artwork that previews them.<\/p>\n

According to the votes, the top fifteen Switch game icons of 2020 so far are:<\/p>\n

  2. La-Mulana 2\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n
  3. Animal Crossing: New Horizons<\/em><\/a><\/li>\n
  4. Mega Man Zero\/ZX Legacy Collection<\/em><\/li>\n
  5. Trials of Mana<\/em><\/li>\n
  6. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX<\/em><\/a><\/li>\n
  7. Doom Eternal<\/em><\/li>\n
  8. Metro: Last Light Redux<\/em><\/li>\n
  9. Super Crush KO<\/em><\/li>\n
  10. Without Escape<\/em><\/li>\n
  11. EQQO<\/em><\/li>\n
  12. Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town<\/em><\/li>\n
  13. Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk DX<\/em><\/li>\n
  14. Pokemon Home<\/em><\/li>\n
  15. Florence<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Many of these games are very popular already, with dedicated fanbases behind them, such as with Animal Crossing: New Horizons<\/em> and Doom Eternal<\/em>. They, however, do not compare with Darksiders Genesis<\/em><\/a>, which has\u00a0a current score of 102. Since every time an icon loses a vote battle, it loses a point, this means that Darksiders Genesis<\/em>\u00a0has come out on top many times as of this writing.<\/p>\n

    The website additionally has the lowest scoring Switch icons of 2020. The fifteen worst so far are:<\/p>\n

    6. Stories Untold<\/em><\/li>\n
    7. SEN: Seven Eight Nine<\/em><\/li>\n
    8. The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics<\/em><\/a><\/li>\n
    9. Horse Farm<\/em><\/li>\n
    10. AvoCuddle<\/em><\/li>\n
    11. Ciel Fledge: A Daughter Raising Simulator<\/em><\/li>\n
    12. Ultimate Racing 2D<\/em><\/li>\n
    13. 140<\/em><\/li>\n
    14. Just Glide<\/em><\/li>\n
    15. Crash Drive 2<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The majority of the games at the very bottom have scores that go far into the negatives due to them having very unappealing icons. Many of these games are ports of mobile games<\/a> that have been brought over to the Switch with no changes to the game’s icon for the console version.<\/p>\n

      Both the top and bottom fifteen Switch icons of 2020 seem to switch around with how many people are visiting the site. Some may even have trouble accessing the vote due to the traffic. However, refreshing the page a couple of times should be enough to get everything to load.<\/p>\n
