Confirming the news to io9, Henson Company CEO Lisa Henson said, \u201cWe can confirm that there will not be an additional season of\u00a0<em>The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Age of Resistance told the story of three Gelflings\u00a0on a quest to unite their people against the tyrannical Skeksis. Like the <em>Dark Crystal<\/em> movie, the show was created with puppets and practical effects, giving it a distinct look and quality that can&#8217;t be found outside of a Henson production. Unfortunately, that dedication to authenticity may ultimately what made the series unsustainable.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"related-single\"><strong>RELATED:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/gamerant.com\/tom-holland-link-in-netflix-zelda-series\/\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hey, Listen! However several factors such as the long production time, expensive budget and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/live-feed\/inside-netflixs-surprising-tv-chief-shake-up\"  rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according to an unnamed source talking The Hollywood reporter, <\/a>its performance being &#8220;an expensive disappointment&#8221; could have sealed its fate.
